I broke my back last season and in the freeskier buyers guide i saw a spine protector. I think i would feel more comfortable if i had this but wat i wanted to no is if they are worth the money? do they actually work?
We (Rossi) make a couple of differant ones, and market them through the racing line. I have one, and use it for all types of differant situations, Dirt Biking, DH Mountain BIking, Snowmobiling, and for skiing, when I want to do something stupid. I mostly just use it on big, deep days, when I might drop something and land on my back. Its a small investment to make for some spine protection.
I know a bunch of our guys use it in park skiing, and when you have it on you can barely tell its there.
I've tried a few of them, and you wont even notice them when you're skiing. Doesn't add any weight either. If you'd feel more confortable wearing one, i'd deffinately get one if i were you.
I got mine when i was still racing but i still wear it now and feel really comfortable with it except the spring days like when its too hot then theyre annoing
