Spin direction??

Ok i didnt know where to post this, so i figured i'd post it in general. I have been skiing since i was 4, but only last year i started skiing park and such, and so in one year i was able to do most basic rail stuff, and up to a mute 3, but during the last ski season, i was havingtrouble picking a spin direciton. for the 180's i would spin one way, and for 360's i would spin another way. I figured that i should be spinning the same way but when i try to change either, it feels really akward, especially on the windup. This year im going to go for big spins with more rotation but i think that i really need to decide which way to spin before i do it. Is it normal to have different directions for a 1 or 3. Can people tell me how they spin? I dont know if this matters, lol, but ill post some stuff that may have to do with spin direction:

I right handed

I Skateboard and surf goofy (right food forward)its easier for me to spin counter clockwise on a skateboard

I Do rails on skis with right foot forward

thanks if anyone can help me with that

im right handed and i spin right, it should feel natural, try spinning as hard as you can in both directions, if u start to lose your balance one way then dont use it.

well i spin left but switch i can spin switch unnaty 3s easier then switch 3s umm 1s are easy both ways its not unnatrual if you spin 3s to the left so spin anything bigger the same way as ur 3s. dont 1s are prob just a fluke maybe cause the way you see the landing the whole way or how u are comfy skiing switch. tryin ridein around switch for a while i bet youll find you like lookin over ur left shoulder more then ur right which is why you like doin 1s unnaty cause you land switch rideing that way.

i spin right natty, but i do 180's to the left, i think for 180s it has less to do with spin direction but what shoulder you are more comfortable looking over landing switch.

i spin right on naturally (im a lefty) but my natural spin for switch 3s and 5s is to the left. weird

heres the deal, if you can spin both way already, even for different sized spins, thats awsome, itll make it that much easier to learn unnatural spins when u get that far, keep practicing both ways, and youll end up owning your park.

i do everything right. im right handed, i skate goofy, i spin to my right and i slide right foot forward..but i play a left handed bass.

how would you bang a chick if she just ripped off her pants and was like... if you don't do it good im shooting you... then you'll know what way to spin

i do the same thing, i spin 108s more comfortably left and everything else right

but corks are leftside

but i can pretty much do everything both ways excpet for corks

if your gonna stop really quickly do u go left of right? also if someone pushes you from behind, you willput out a foot to stabilize. if its your right that does go left vice versa

that really applies to rail direction rather than spinning, i slide right foot forward, and spin right, but according to you i should spin left

Not necissarly true because I spin left, on all spins, and have to get comfortable with looking over my left shoulder riding switch.

i spin right, golf right, bat left, play hockey right, play right handed guitar (regular), and i'm left handed. it's a matter of preference.

hmm so thanks for all the replies.. so basically im gonna just give both ways another go this year and see whats works best, and i guess ill spin my bigger spins(5s) the same way i do 3s, and ill kinda disregard the way i do 1s, since those are little anyway.... although maybe doing a 5 will be differnet since its fakie landing...only time will tel..thanks for all the answers though

"Just SKI!!"

i wish i could ski lol.. .but snow wont be here for a good month or two where i live..and even then its not enough for anything but rails
