I have come to spend a lot of time on these forums, and thats good i give my insites and what i know and sometimes i pick up new info.
 
it's come to the point where if i don't come on this site for a day than i miss out on like so much.

the forum dosen't work on my school computers, i guess it would help if my school wasn't so poor, hell, i'm surprized i can even get on this site at my school, they have everything else blocked off by this dog bess. i know, it's gay.
 
man i thought my school was gay blocking email...i hate the damn librarians checkin over your shoulder every 5 seconds!!!!
 
yea i used to be able to get on at my school, but now they limit it so closely. it seems like every site you go to they have blocked. plus you have to give the librarians your student ID card or drivers license just to use a computer. they also used to have powder and freeze at the library, but now all they have is ski and skiing.
 
Shitty deal! Here's how you get around watchdog:

Go to windows, and there's a file called watchd.exe or something like that. Delete it, and as long as they don't run a screen capture while you're deleting, they can't catch you. And as for the blocking the sites... you can probably find a free proxy somewhere and then change the proxy settings to use the free one, which won't block anything... if that fails, become friends with the geeks at your school and get them to hook you up.

Or just wait till you get home.. hehe, but that's just no fun. :)

If it is blocked at your school, try to get a teacher to let you go under their name and use it. Then sites shouldn't be blocked. At least that's how it is here.
 
Or, as our school board had it, try to find the default teacher password. That's the password that's assigned to teacher's accounts... then go through all th teacher's names in your school (start with the computer-dummy ones) and find some log ins! :)

you might want to try Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings... then uncheck the auto detect setting and auto configuration script.

might help but i dunno, at work they block shit with that script so i just turn it off and i can browse like a maniac, MANIAC

I hate NS with passion, but I cant leave it. Some of the stuff I've read has enriched my life (wisdom teeth and constipation, hot chick thread) yet the vast, vast majority has made me dumber for having read it. The other good thing I'm seeing is that since joining NS my writing skills have become so much better just from all the random things I write. It's a love/hate relationship.
