Speeding tickets

Okay so i got a speeding ticket (71 in a 55) about a month ago and than i just got another one to day what the hell todays was 52 in 45. My parents are already pissed and now there prolly gunna kill me. I was just wondering if you guys have any advice, on if i should tell them about this or try to deal with it myself, or if anything like this has happen to you. Thanks... An advice would be great, also i live in New York.
 
well your only chance of getting it lowered/ taken away is pleading incocent and goingi to court. if the cop doesnt show it autamatically gets dropped. and if he does show that happend to me doin 21 over once 66 in a 45 and i some how managed to get it lowered to a non moving violation. all depends on the cop and the judge.

forr sure just pay the ticket.

i got a reckless driving ticket and went to court and now i have a jury trial it sucks and lawyer fees and just missing school for all these court dates its not worth it and if you do go to court your parents will for sure know.

so just pay the ticket and let the poe poe be on his way
 
a speeding ticket for 52 in a 45 is kinda whack, I wouldn't say your parents would be too pissed about that, unless they are really anal
 
im from ny to and idk where ur from ^^^^ but u dont go to a jury trial for a speeding ticket your best chance is go to court hope the cop doesnt show if he does apologize tell him u are sorry blah blah be all nice where nice clothes when u go and hope they lower it for you im sure ull still have to pay a fine tho.
 
so if the cop doesnt show it gets reduced, idk the only reason they will be pissed is cause i just got one before this.
 
I got a ticket in Colonie ny a couple of months ago (85 in 55 got sniped with laser) but i called the prosecutor and asked for a memorandum of negotiated plea and got it reduced to 65 in 55 without going to court or anything... but if you do decide to take it to court and the cop doesnt show up the ticket gets dropped
 
i have my N and i got pulled over doing 110 in a 50 zone. i was with my friend and we had just gotten off work. cop comes up to my car and he's like 25-30 or so...we talked to him for a good 5 minutes and don't even get a written warning :) haha sometimes it pays to be a girl!

however, if i ever did get a ticket in one of my parents cars i would just pay it and hope they didn't find out. i'd rather be out the amount of money than either have to go to court or not be able to drive the car anymore.
 
just paying it seems like a good idea... but then the ticket goes to your insurance company, which will repeatedly saudomize you with rates through the roof... and, your parents will see that you are being chared way more... it's 2+2 from there
 
just pay the ticket, your fine can be increased the longer you wait,

and either stop speeding or stop getting caught.
 
if you live in new hampshire I know this is true, check your laws,

somtimes there is a conditional speed law were it allows you to go 10 or 15 over if weather conditions are perfect, so you can debate it in court
 
yeah i got busted for going 92 in an 80 zone, (for those of you who know the sea to sky, right down that massive fucking hill going to van by furry creek), and he only gave me a ticket for not having my N on the car.

it was and $83 fine, otherwise it would have been $125 for speeding plus $83 for not having my N. that would have sucked.

OP, you would prolly just be better off your time paying unless it is for an absurd amount. good luck!
 
I got a 72 in a 45 in a station wagon, talked to the cop and only got too fast for conditions. Just tell your parents and say youl pay for all of it and it wont happen again.
 
its a stupid new diver licence thing that we have in BC, I actually live on either end of the sea to sky i have a place in Squamish and North van. So i know exactly where your talking about.
 
Sunday I got a ticket for going 60 in a 40, I had just accelerated very quickly to get up a hill and cruise down with absolutely no traffic. The cop sniped me. Now my license is suspended=no ride to shred. I have a court date=fines. And I'm probably going to get license suspended for 2 mounths for going 20+ over the limit with CT's gay new laws. I'm also grounded. All around fucking bummed the fuck out.
 
haha he asked if we were speeding to a party and we said yes, so he asked us about that and i told him not to arrest me if he saw me drunk later. he said he wouldn't unless i was behind the wheel, and to have a good night.

i used to work at starbucks and he was a regular there, pretty sure he let us off just so he could still get the free coffee
 
when i went in to traffic court in OR the cop didnt have to be there...
go to the traffic court and plead "no contest", or google your states traffic laws. basically you have to pay for it but if you go to the traffic court hopefully it can reduced, or removed. two tickets in a couple of weeks will not look good to the judge though.
