Speeding Tickets

I just got one today, first time in almost a year. I was going 20 over, and the officer was nice enough to drop it to 19 to the fine is less and the points are lesss, but still. Does anyone know of a good way to get the fine reduced and to have your insurance company not find out. My insurance is already $1000/6 months, so I'd rather not pay them anymore.

isnt that combined insurance, it also depends on the amount of cars they drive.

I dont drive with insurance, so if you see a 96 explorer, pls do not hit it...

and i know its illegal, but for some reason they never gave me back my certificate for driving education, and they want me to pay like 600$ to buy another one, which is like taking the course over again.

I have a radar detector. It didn't work this time because I had just driven over the crest of Vail pass and he was right on the backside so it didn't pick it up. I was pissed. But that doesn't really help me out with my ticket. Anybody have any suggestions?

What's up with the girls are shitty drivers comments? I think I'm a decent driver. I've never backed into anything, nor have I ever just plain run into anything. I did hit the wall of a canyon after sliding around when I was 16, but that was when I had no experience. I'm 21 now, so I figure I know how to drive. I this time I got caught in a speed trap. I saw the cop pull over someone right after he pulled me over. I also saw him on the way home. So yeah, bash girl drivers if you want, but ride in the car with me before you say I suck.

 
the only thing I can suggest is calling like, Pointts or Xcoppers...not sure where you are from, so I dont know if you even know what I am talking about, but...

Take it to court. ALWAYS take traffic tickets to court. ALWAYS. With just a little luck, you should get off. Just try the 'I was going down a hill, and I'm a broke ass student' excuse. Although if you're driving a new Subaru WRX, the being broke part won't work...

statistically, women are bad drivers, but some of them are better then me, and they cause more accidents per kilometer then males.

have you paid the ticket yet? if not, contest it, then when the court date comes up, reschedule (say you're sick or something) then when the new date comes up it is likely not to be on a day the cop is working, so he won't show up, and you will get off with no points and not having to pay.

it has worked for me twice.

Well, I'm already going to be out of the country for the court date, so it would have to be rescheduled. So say I reschedule it, and the officer and I both show up. What happens then? I haven't ever been to court for anything in my life. And will, my friend had to pee be a good enough excuse because that's really the only thing I can think of.
