Speed

When I look at videos of me doing rails/boxes I seem to be going really slow but I fell like I am going fast. I am concerned about this because if I want to advance to bigger features next year I have to go fast to do them. How do you get comfortable doing rails with speed?

Practice is the only means of progression. Next time you hit the rail, hit it 10% faster. Then 25% faster. Then 40% faster. Then just bomb the hill and disaster, tap, etc. the feature.

Just start hot lapping, if you hike go quite aways up. Speed is key with most tricks and looks a lot better. But if you just start casually ripping through the park you will get much more comfortable with speed you need for certain things.

The more you ski the more comfortable you'll get skiing and the faster you'll find yourself going without trying I guess. It's the same with most any other thing, just practice and more practice.

I find it's super fun just to hit rails going really fast and not even doing tricks on them. And also it's all mental, if you can hit a feature you most definitely can do it a little faster but it's scary at first

Always keep your confidence. That the most important thing about going fast. If that doesn't work id try cocaine.

the faster you go, the easier it is to hit shit, because you have less time to fall off, your momentum will keep you going down the rail instead of having time to change and make you slide to the side. I think youll be pleasently surprised when you try hitting a rail fast.

you can make a fast shot look slow by filming from too far away

but you can also make a slow shot look fast by filming up close and using the zoom

what i'm saying is the camera might make you think you are going slow when you aren't
