Speed on skis vs snowboards

ha i liked the Top Gun Music...but i think that skis are faster than boards, i mean a boarder would need to have a much bigger and smoother inrun...

and landing in that pow.. although its pow. its still gotta hurt being up that high to instantly stopped

look at tanner.. broke both his legs when he came up short going switch over it
 
wasn't exactly pow that tanner landed on, more of a packet out spring snow landing right on the top of it
 
on like a cab 9 dude, theres a huge diff. and tanner was hitting it in like the spring, there was minimal snow, you could tell when he hit, like slush flew up, these guys bodies were buried in pow. not knocking them in anyway tho, thats rad as shit.
 
Ever seen POP? Just because a couple of snowboarders hit Chads with a mogul for a kicker in the middle of a snowstorm you assume it means that skis are faster?
 
they cant really use the terrain as easily, my guess would be that they dont have use of both legs independantly.
 
Skis have always been known to be faster. This video of Chad's doesn't prove shit man. The inrun is never the same for that and just maybe the snowstorm could have had an affect on them... Just a tad.
