Special marking for people thathave been known to give advice?

I've seen a ton of posts of retardedness on here and maybe we can bring back the star next to the name for people who have been known to actually give good advice and trying not to hate instead of acting like deuchebags and hating on people.
 
of most people, I try to give advice to the people who want it and don't say "hey you fag you suck" for no reason.
 
Flashing names that when you mouse-over them they scream "JEA JEA JEA IM AWSOME BITCH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

why do people who act like they should deserve special recognition??? i suppose you still get cookies for not shitting your pants?
 
so you need a reward to be a good person? eventually if you do a lot of good things then tyou get bumped up to mod status it seems like (look at papasteeze, he gives some of the best advice of anyone on here and he finally was made a mod) Even if they dont make mod then as long as you arnt a noob you know who the people are that give good advice (nomensteven)and thoes who just hate all the time([e]heath)

woah woah hold on a second... being a mod means i have to give people good advice??? shit here i was thinking that i am suppose to delete all of the shit you guys post and reprimand you when you act like you are 5 years old.

but since you want some good quality advice here is some... calling mods out for stupid shit like not giving good advice is not the best way to get on their good side
 
dude they're just giving their opinions. Mods are usually the most knowledgable and respected members of any online community.
 
Does that mean you don't take people seriously who haven't donated? Because there are PLENTY of people who take NS seriously that aren't donaters and simply don't have the money to donate, or just never get around to it. And then there are the people who donate just so that they can have a good e-rep, even if they are complete idiots and don't know what they are talking about.

The percentage of donators and non donators that are idiots in comparison to the total population is the exact same.
 
If you are helpful and friendly to everybody it will catch up to you. You may not get to be a different color, you probably wont get a special sign by your name, but you have the satisfaction of knowing that you've helped people. This is the interent for fuck sakes, if a bit of satisfaction isn't good enough for you then you need a life.

That said, I've been on here for a few months under two years, and I know most of the people who have the tendency to be helpful. If you hang around and are friendly and helpful you dont need an icon for people to recognize you.
 
Well aren't you being optimistic today. Is your summer job playing a happy elf on a kids' show or something? I can see them giving you morphine to keep you all upbeat for that. We'll call it a theory.

Rule #1 about the majority of NS members: they all want essentially arbitrary status.
 
I don't want any status I have a yellow donator sign that's enough to show I care about the world's largest online sking community. It would just bring more hate to the mods anyways if I was specially selected out for anything.

Its obvious he cares about the largest online skiing community. Obviously...he attempted to commit suicide over stuff happening on this site..

If members hated less and talked about skiing more then this entire community would be so much better.
