alright so i have two speakers from the 1990s (bose roommate 2) that worked at home like a week ago. i have since moved into my dorm at college and forgot the speakers. my mom mailed them (syracuse to philadelphia). got them today, plugged them in, and all that comes out of the speaker is a loud buzz. like really loud. are they screwed from shipping?

there might be a problem with your input wire, check that to make sure everything is in the right spot. also play pink noise over them for a few minutes and see if that works. it is likely just a problem with the input wire though
