i have skied them on a powder day and they kick ass. They smoke my seth pistols in the deep stuff.
Only downside is they are extremely difficult to ski when it is not pure deep pow.
I would say you need at least a foot to a foot and 1/2 of pow. At least or else they get squirley and you cant turn them and shit.
But like i said in the pow greatest ski ever.

I've only heard about it, and structurally it makes sense. I think there was a thread about it awhile ago try searching it.

the concept is taken from watersports ie. waterskis and wakeboards and surfboards and it works because skiing powder you are trying to float like on the water.

those things are crazy man! I'm sure they're sweet because McConkeys pioneered shit before despite a lot of criticism and if he's backing them they must kick ass. I can't imagine trying to carve on anything other than super deep powder though.

He used the concept of a waterski, how the waist is wider than the tip or tail, and figured that powder is somewhat like skiing on water. reverse camber design. those must suck ass on the groomers though, that would be funny shit to see in the park!

they are a totally different feeling then normal skis. hard to ski on anything hard, but not impossible. there is nothing that comes close in pow. you can hockey stop.
