Yes I have enjoyed a few glasses of wine this evening, but I just encountered Spambuster and got a message that I could not post more than once in 20 seconds. I was actually kind of surprised that I was actually posting twice in 20 seconds. IDK, I was annoyed, but I probably won't get this message very often. Still is this really necessary and does it actually help keep spam down?

Yes, yes it is. Spambuster came abouts in like 2005 when kids (like me) would spam a forum for fun, we thought it was hilarious to fill an entire page with one thread. Kids would also spam cults to get their post counts up (like me, got like 2000 deleted). They put in spam buster to stop this and it worked lol. It would happen again if we turned it off too. I rarely encounter it, you have to be posting like a maniac to get two in 20 sec.
 
I wish it still said spambuster 2000. 4000? Doesnt it just say youre not allowed to post or something

Shows you how much I know. For a second when I saw it, I thought NS had been hacked. I thought it was going to try to direct me to a site that would "remove" (Add crap loads of) malware to my computer. Huck got learned.
