Southpark: The Coon

first two episodes have been great so far...the first one with them just ripping apart the jonas brothers and disney was hilarious.
 
I used to love South Park, but I stopped watching it a few seasons ago. At first I arrogantly declared that South Park was getting worse and worse and they had lost their touch. Turns out I was just getting older. Oh well, kind of sad, used to love that show~
 
ha i always used to think that way about southpark and had no idea why everyone watched...then i started watching about my junior year of highschool and now in college i guess i can just sit back and think immaturely and laugh thats why i like it
 
the first two of this new season have been alright. The last REALLY funny one I think was the Cat Piss/Heavy Metal One and defiantly the World of Warcraft Episode which was like two are three season ago.
 
Dude, getting too old for South Park? My 58-year-old mom thinks that shit is funny. Everyone reminisces about the old days of South Park, and yeah it was damn funny back then, but the show has gotten way more intelligent and conscious than it used to be. Early seasons are just ridiculous and the shock value made it funny, but the new seasons are not only absolutely hysterical (for the most part), but they're topical and on point... which is crazy given how long the show has been on TV, that they're still producing quality scripts. Those guys never cease to amaze me, honestly one of the best shows on air.
 
Your sleuthing skills are pretty abysmal man. Mysterion showed up at Kyle's house asking for his help, not to mention he lacks Kyle's freckles. It MAY be Kenny though, if that's who you meant.
 
Haha oh shit! I totally forgot about Wendy because her line was so obvious I figured it couldn't be her, but then it never mentioned her again throughout the whole show. Definite possibility. Although Cartman said he "knew it was you!" but then again, Cartman is a tool.
 
It couldn't be wendy i don't think because at the end of the show when he unmasked himself Mr. Garrison says "its one of the boys from my class" so i think that narrows it to all the guys...and obviously kyle is ruled out because mysterion was at his house...and not butters...i think it would be sweet that it would be kenny...but i think they just made it so they would have another character for the show ha i loved how they brought professor kaos back butters is the shit

and yeah i love how south park has transformed its still immature and has shock value and the vulgar language (which is the best) but they tie that in with modern day events and issues and such that makes it 80x funny.

word. i liked the first episode better than thes econd, but wtvr. to op or qwhoever said it was a batman mock, really? i thought it was a mock up of The Spirit, anyone else think that? cuz cartman is always saying "she" and "my city" which the guy in spirit says alot.
 
He had a plot to blow up the hospital if Mysterion didn't unveil himself. He kept vanishing randomly when talking to the police. It was Batman. Maybe they parodied both though, I haven't seen the Spirit.
 
The Jonas brothers episode was epic. Straight epic. That Mickey Mouse voice made me laugh every single time.

Not such a fan of The Coon but it was super interesting to read all of the different interpretations of it. I might have to watch it again.

But when it comes down to it I am so down for whatever Parker and Stone throw out.
