Very few things can be proven? So why do we spend hours upon hours in Calc I, II, III, Diff Eq, Physics, and all of our engineering classes studying proofs? It would seem to me that real science is very easily proven.

Real science = rational assumptions based on factual information. What part of big bang theory information exactly is factual? That there are basic relations between matter and energy? That amino acids and the other basic components of life exist freely in nature?

The Pythagorean theorem can be easily proven. Take three pieces of wood of appropriate lengths and make a triangle. Once upon a time it was a theory. It was very easily proven.

The day that CERN creates another habitable planet with the high-orbital super super super super large Hadron Collider, your "rational assumptions" based on "factual information" will begin to have something to stand on. Even then, you will be unable to explain from WHENCE the incredible amounts of energy necessary to cause that to happen came from.
 
Even if you prove that the universe had to have a creator, you would be no closer to proving the existence of your god.

All you are doing is saying "oh, you can't prove the big bang happened (even though it is the accepted theory amongst most scientists, and has much more evidence backing it than any other theory relating to the beginning of our universe), therefore god did it."

If that isnt what you are arguing, what the fuck are you trying to say?

The big bang theory/abiogenesis etc. are infinitely more plausible than any theory that requires the existence of an omnipotent being. If you can't see the obvious flaw in arguing that the big bang is implausible, therefore god must have done it, then you should seriously consider taking a course in logic and how to put forth a sensible argument.

p.s. evidence for the big bang = expanding universe, background radiation etc. Obviously nobody knows exactly how it happened right now, but until someone comes up with a better theory, it is going to be the one people hold.

I am saying I don't know, but I choose to believe. Show me one place in this thread where I have expressed "proof positive" claims that Creation is how it happened.

I'm also saying that if I am going to debate and engage others, I will do it in a rational and intelligent way, instead of posting ignorant and inflammatory remarks which insult not only people who don't agree with me, but the victims of terrible tragedies.

Your choice to believe that God created the universe is illogical. You have the burden of proof here. In order to justify your belief, you have to provide evidence which supports it. You can provide no evidence, all you can do is attack other theories that contradict yours.

A theorem is a statement that can be demonstrated to be true by accepted mathematical operations and arguments. It has not been mathmatically proven. Although it can be demonstrated.

Here is scientific observations and factual evidence to support a big bang theory. it was the first google return, there is no evidence for the god theory. Again the burden of proof is on you to prove it, not me to disprove it.

Sit down and have a read. We can all produce a million "scientific sources" to support our viewpoint.
