Anybody ski at Southington in Southington, CT. its like a 500 foot hill but its my local hill and i was wondering if any other NSers ski there
 
i live in new hartford, so i ski at sundown, but ive been to southington and know some boarders that go there.
 
how much is a Sundown season pass? I want to get a pass there instead of southington but my friends go to southington
 
not sure, i think its around 500 or so, i know u get a huge discount if u buy it before october something. i get mine free because i work there, but its definitely a lot better than southington.
 
I do occassionally, but I usually go to Sundown. The only time I was there was for a rail jam...SeanyJ was there too, and damn, he killed it...
 
ha! i grew up an 1/8th of a mile from that place. they have a park now, sort of sucks, but it fits well with the area! theres also sweet huts in the woods, just gotta find them
 
not hattin on southington but ct has the best park around here hands down

im guessing he meant sundown instead of ct. but sundown does have a better park from what ive heard but i have not been to southington so i cant make a first hand account. but is worth the drive if u live in CT over other mountains
 
oh yeah southington does suck really bad. I only go there bc its only like 40mins away from my house and i have friends go there. It gets kinda old though....last year i went 4 times a week and by the end of the season i bet i could have done every feature and skiied the whole hill (not mountain) with my eyes closed. I wanna go to sundown but its farther away and my friends for some reason want to stay at Sounthington instead of Sundown. Does anybody else really miss powder ridge?? that place was the shit, that park was so fun.
 
I think Sundown is buying powder ridge and putting it back in operation. I'm not sure though, maybe that was just a rumor?

Sundown terain park is pretty legit for something in CT, southington blows for the most part.
 
should deff hit it up after school considering its like 45 mins from my house. looks like it could be fun especially for a midweek jib when im not in NH
 
c'mon jarrod. sundown doesnt have 2.8 mil sitting around to buy powder ridge? then you'd only need a few more million to fix it up.
 
that place needs a lot of attention. It's too bad. CT needs more skiers and riders. Everyone wins if there are more ski areas in this state.
 
i ski at southington. ive skied there since i was 4 and i get to go for free and i live 20 minutes away so its not too bad. i know just about everyone at southington but im not sure if i know who anyone on hear is beside malczyk
