Southern hemisphere summer skiing

i'm looking to go skiing in the southern hemisphere this summer, and i havent quite got it sorted yet. would appreciate any info on new zealand, australia, argentina and/or chile. any info on pros/cons, places to stay, resorts to visit etc etc etc. cheers.
 
well i only know about chile and argentina.. it all depends on the winter that we have it supposed to be a really rainy one si hopefully we'll get a lot of snow, in chile you have a lot of choices, you can come to santiago and ski in the 3 different resort if you know people you can go and do some sick powder runs and you can grab a bus to portillo wich also has sick powder runs and really good groomers. don't expect to have like big snow parks and stuff but in santiago you have valle nevado wich has a nice half pipe and in el colorado a nice snow park where you can have fun still. well if you have the time and money you can also go to the south of chile and go to another si areas like chillan and villarrica or also cross to argentina and go to las leñas and other places, they are very much a like good powder runs and every year better parks... hope you find this helpfull if you have more qustions just pm me or write it in this thread i'll try to help you out.
 
what say you of termas de chillan. i hear thats a pretty sweet place to live and work. con chicas locas tambien!
 
yeah termas is a really nice place to ski good snow good like backcountry ski, but if you want to meet hot girls dude the si resorts near santiago are the place
 
yeah ive heard that las lenas is really good. i want to ski south america one day but flights from the UK are like £1500 to buenos aires. thats almost 3000 dollars.
 
rad mtn. no park which stinks abit. i know valle nevado really well. decent mtn. decent park. if you ever get cabin fever you can just drive down to santiago. id say thats your best bet
 
yeap..termas is a really good place...it's my home mountain, but as many people have pointed out, there is no park which sucks...and by the way...yo no soy una chica loca, aunque hay varias otras haha
