Southern Hemisphere Skiing

Ahh can’t really help you there. I’ve only been to Australia and New Zealand. Argentina looks the best though of Americas. Maybe areas like Bariloche. Cerro Catedral or Chapelco or Cerro Bayo I’ve heard aren’t bad. I’ve heard of UShuaia too.

I used to work with some Argentinians so I would pick their brains about it.

Chile has some cool places too like Portillo or El Colorado

Bet, thanks so much! Would the australias be a better option? Cuz I am probably open for both depending on costs

If you’re under 30 and can get a visa, I’d say do Aus or NZ. That way you can at least make SOME money to supplement your travels. I lived in mountain at a resort in Australia. My buddy is headed there to do the same.

Do you have an Ikon or Epic pass that gives you access to any spots? Are you hoping to take a vacation or live there for a while? It seems like it might be late to get a work visa and stuff?

Got a epic for next szn, and I am not old enough to get a work visa yet, I am working my ass off for summer to get enough for maybe a week or 2 of skiing down south.

Looks like there are three resorts in Australia on Epic...I don't know what pass you have and didn't look very hard to find what options you have for skiing those resorts.

Flying to Argentina and paying for lift tickets mY still be cheaper than going to Oz though.
 
This season has been nuking in chile, (i`ve only been skiing in the maule region where there are no resorts tho)

There is definitely fun terrain at Cardi’s. Plus didn’t they link passes with Treble Cone now?

Remarks is fun for slackcountry. That’s where I skied mostly

If they linked the pass with treble cone that changes the game. Having the park on one hill and the free ride on the other

cardies has some mean freeride spots u just need to look.
