Hi,

I am looking for a job somewhere in the southern hemisphere to work/ski for the summer. has anyone done this and does anyone have any tips for me to find a job. My only language is english.

Thanks.

I am from Chile..I work there as a ski instructor..but what would you like to do specifically? and other thing is..learning some spanish would not be a bad idea...

i plan on learning some spanish in my spare time, i would love to learn a second language. I have been taking latin through high school hoping that maybe it would make learning a second language a little easier. I'd like to be an instructor or a lifty, or anything else that would get me on the mountain with a free pass, maybe a bed to sleep on, some food, and some money to save for college.

No chance of getting any kind of job in Argentina. If you can pull off a visa, are fluent in spanish, and have been an instructor before you might be able to get a job at a place like Portillo in Chile. Maybe. If you happen to have spent the past 10 years guiding, and have connections, you could be a guide in Argentina or Chile. New Zealand you could work a crappy under the table job for very little money.

Basically, save up and dont work once you get down there.

go to new zealand...no need to learn another language plus some sweet mountains. i am working at stratton now with aussi's and am moving to NZ in june to work there with them. just do some research it's not too tough to get a lifty job that pays enough to pay the bills. just don't expect to save any money at all though.

damn, being able to save some money is a prerequisite by my dad for being bale to do this. he wants me to have 3g's set aside before the school year starts. I'll have about 2grand to start out with.
