I'm looking at teams this year. I'm pretty good. I know John Mcmurray used to ski with southern alberta freestyle and so did rory bushfield so they must be pretty good. Anyone here on a team or know of teamss? Thanks alot for any advice.

Gooooooorbs...

tanner hall used to ski in a little mogul camp.. odes that make it good? I used to ski at nancy greene, does that mean it sucks?!

Ski for yourself

the rocky mountain free riders is chill, its like skiing for yourself, except with people better than you at everything coaching whatever you feel like doing.

mike- Shit, is that a cop?

Me- Nope

Mike- I swear its a cop, I can see her pants!

Adrian- You dumbass, most people wear pants

dude, being on a team doesnt mean u dont ski for urself, it means, considering u ahve good coaching, u get better faster

other than RMFR, every other team is to structured, they take a mogul aspect to the park and its damn annoying. Find a group of buddies who like it like you and ski everyday you can. try new shit everyday, thats the only way you progress and soon you'll be real good. McMurray and Kozody I think improved the most when they quit Southern. You do get real good in teams but only if you want to. Its just as fast to do it by yourself. don't join a team, just buy alot of good new shit.

sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.

ya dood find a bunch of friends to ski with...thats the best way to do it.

bo oh boy, southern albeta team is nerds, i saw them at fortress, starin at me while I peed in a tree, then ushed out on a little cliff, then called my friends pussys cause they were waiting for me to leak, SAF is gay, RMF is, gay, i guesse, casue im on it... but without me it kicks ass

Being on a team doesn't mean you aren't skiing for yourself it's just good to ski with coaches and friends. It makes it way easier to find lots of other skiiers around alberta to. I probably wouldn't even ski that much right now if I never joined a team. At least compared to how much I do now

teams are fun, its just a matter of opinion i guess. but full of cocky kids? most kids in alberta freestyle are really nice and not cocky at all, we just want to have a good time.. I mean there are a few cocky kids, but not any more than the skiers not on a team.

All of us kids on teams are nice. I had some terrible skiing happen this year and so did some of my friends who just started and nobody said anything negative.

i was in the southern alberta freestlye team for a bit, there are quite a few people in it and i dropped out because i was having a hard time to find time for dryland

yea but you gotta think about haw many days they actually get when the wind isnt like 50+ km/h. last time i was there with friends on the chair to the top we got blown into the side of the lift pole.

it happened to my friend at fortress a few years back. He fell off the chair cause he didn't have the bar down.

the best thing to do is ski with people better then you, it forces your progression. its hard in the rockies to find people that really push you but you just have to keep on looking

Dude, Freeskierz which is run out of COP is awsome! we ride tuesday thursday nights, friday nights at the gym hitting tramps and then big mountain trips on the weekends. we are hitting all the comps this year, all alberta freestyle comps if you want, all the big mountain comps and a bunch of the resort comps. basically its a group of wicked skiiers riding together, real chill. and because we are part of COP we get some pretty good hookups. Plus in the summer we hit the water ramps in red deer and grand prarie.

I used to be in Rocky Mountain Freeriders at louise. Awesome program, taught me to SKI, not just park.

Couple of the coaches were Eric Hjorleifson, Chris Rubens, Kevin Hjertas, etc...

It's just too far now, living in Calgary...

who goes to wateramps in red deer from freeskiers. also southern is getting an airsite at cop. which is incredible

they're getting a olympic mogul corse at cop this year. but it still wont beat the castle mogul corse.

because you dont have 2 ski moguls or halfpipe or bigair or aerials

drew skis halfpipe and big air and he is damn good

Southern's main focus is Moguls but do a little park and pipe, and they train out of COP
COP Freeskierz train out of COP there main focus is more park and pipe, they also do a little moguls
It depends which way you want to go.

Join southern, or any team really. It was probably one of best decisions I have ever made, seriously, and I usually make good decisions.

Lol I didn't do a day of moguls when I was with southern last year or when I was at hood. But that could be because Jon was coaching me lol.
