South Lake is ghetto-ish, by that I mean it's probably the only part of Lake Tahoe that's remained somewhat affordable and not taken over by giant houses and overpriced stuff.
One really nifty zone is this so-called Meiss Country around Luther Pass on the 89, it's kind of this mysterious zone that doesn't get explored much. I also love the area around Hope Valley and Carson Pass towards the 'wood.
I lived up on Kingsbury grade years ago, and I visit probably once a year at most, these days.
Great memories and such, but I've moved on, not necessarily to better things or better places, though.
