I live in Canada. Never skied in the southern hemisphere but I want to. I'm looking for a little info/help. I've been looking at Valle Navado specifically. Have you been there? When did you go? Did you stay at a resort or just bum around? How did you get from the airport to the resort? Any info you can give me will help me figure things out.

Thanks ya'll.

Don't know about Valle Navado, but a lot of friends have been down to Portillo, Chile, as well as La Parva where Eye of the Condor is held.

They sound/look super fun.

Lots of shuttle options up tp Valle Nevado, from the airport or from downtown Santiago. Ski Total ( i think it's called), runs from downtown up the hellacious 64 switchback road a couple of times a day. Skiing is not too extreme, park is ok, lodging is. pretty lux, but pricey.

if i were you id go to argentina... the exchange rate is 1 dollar for 9 pesos almost right now... and i know some places at resorts you can stay at for around 1500 - 2000 for a week, thats 170 - 225 $ rediculously cheap for a week stay. lift tickets arent to pricey either.
