if you mean he is just the tip of the iceberg of gangster rap, i agree, i just thought itd give a recognizable and well known example of what is and what isnt gangster rap.
 
Fuckin hell dude, in my autoshop class the only black person in my ENTIRE town comes in with his Mits Eclipse that he riced and blares Solja Boy ALWAYS without FAIL. Always the same damn cd, and his system is blown and fuck! i hate it soooooomuch!
 
to all the kids hating on the dance though...i think its shitty and isnt a good looking dance (if you could even call it one even though i know it and do it sometimes as a joke for fun and shit at dances and parties...my question to the haters of it is this, how do you dance? one kid said "bobbing up and down isnt dancing" or something..his dance isnt bobbing up and down its jus ta bunch of weird motions really...but what do you do when you go to a school dance? fucking swing dance? i dunno i dont think theres much of a way to dance at a social event without just grinding or something is basically what im saying.
 
also, if you care (doubtful) soulja boy doesnt say that (arab does) and he says "i know the haters get mad a little, arab rockin more colors than a bag of skittles!" just so you know.

 
yeah this song is horrible, its just mumbling then every few seconds you can pick out a word or part of a word thats somewhat recognisable, it sounds just like ever other new rap song, terrible. it has the same type of beat, same extremely repetitive lyrics you cant understand that just go on and on just like every new rap song.  

songs like this give people an actual good reason to hate black people, atleast these type of black people. you watch this video and all they are doing is pretty much making sounds that resemble words and jumping around and flailing like gorillas.  it isnt "gangster" one bit.  it honestly makes them look like they havent evolved very far from apes.

i have nothing against black people or anything, i have lots of  black friends. but these people arent black, they are simply apes with clothes grunting and jumping around, to a beat some more intelligent species made for them.

honestly rap sucks so bad now it seems like they just go pick some random crack head black guy, tell him to try and sing/ make noises, then film him flailing around, then they put it on tv and make millions out of it. i think i could honestly say that i could definatly make a better song if i had the budget they have.  the only thing to the song is and extremely easy beat and 5 "lyrics" that repeat for the entire song.

and what kind of gay name is solja boy? wtf?

another terrible song i just heard on tv is a bay bay by huricane chris.  i dont know how people can call this shit music.

what ever happened to the actual good rap with a meaning, well thought out meaningfull lyrics that consist of more words than 5, and great beats?

 
Yes, I hate the song too. I love rap, but it's just the overly popular stuff that doesn't make any sense that I hate. It seems the more stupid and nonsensical the song, the more popular it will be. I always rant about this stuff. Like WTF does "I'm Mr. toastman! also Mr. postman" mean? How do these songs get poplar?
 
Yeah I like Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, GOOD Rap (Immortal Technique, Nas, Tupac) and some other stuff.
 
That song is nothing more than a joke. In my mind, it is ridicule beyond belief. I cannot bring myself to understand how anyone could listen to that song and actually be stoked on it. I get stoked when I hear that song cause it gives me something to make fun of that I wont feel bad about.
 
Im not really one to listen to hiphop but even i can appreciate oldschool rap. This however, is an abomination.

He gives me all the affirmation i need to have to know that if I ever feel the need, I can spend 5 minutes in garage band, make a two layer beat, say Jizz on Tits, OOOH! Jea Jea Jea! play it for some middle school white girls or a frat house, and be a millionaire in no time at all.

Its a horrible song, but the value of it is in the dancing portion, not the actual music or lyrics. You have to take it for what it is, which is a song based soley for creating a cool dance. It is annoying, I hate hearing yoooooou every day, but the dance is fun. 
 
Soulja boy is the greatest thing to happen to rap music. Kicks the shit out of anything. If Soulja boy would do an album with lil wayne i would cream my pants because it would be the greates album the music industry will ever see. Children with cancer will be cured, and all of the diseases and troubles in the world will be wisked away in unicin during the first song.
 
you dont think rapping is hard? listen to like aesop rock or typical cats and tell me if you could write better lyrics and make a better beat.

either way, Soulja Boy is a gimmick. in fact, the whole state of modern rap is a gimmick right now. most mainstream stuff is almost a self-degrading art now in my opinion, how these rappers are really just clones of blackface entertainers from way back when. its sickening.

people are always gonna hate music. its your decision on whether to listen to it or not. dont go bitching about how he has no talent (that may be true) because whatever he is doing...is making him the dough. and when it comes down to it, get money
 
the thing i hate about this song is the edited version they play on the radio and at dances....i hate the OH!!! part of the song.....dont know why i just do.....if you listen to the unedited version (it sounds so much better in my opinion) and the final thing i dont quite understand about rap is how it seems like every rapper thinks their the baddest mother fucker on the planet.....and how they are so fly (aka this is why im hot by mims)
 
personally that song is stupid i dont like it at all it makes no sense and the dance is gay its a song were they say the chrous wayyyyy to many times i dont like it at all one of the worst songs ive ever heard
 
Ya, that's true, some of it sounds fine.

However, I would love to see Soulja Boy play a real instrument.
 
so April 1st has come and gone, and the RIAA still hasn't made the announcement that Soulja Boy was just a social experiment to see how dumb and brainwashed the American public really is.. does anybody know if they are waiting to drop a press release on April Fools '09, or what the deal is with this joke thats being passed off as music? I do believe I heard another of his songs, and half the lyrics were BoogilyBooBogly, and YAAAAAAAA trick, and I actually started to feel the suicidal tendencies coming on before I could escape the gang rape my ears were receiving
 
all you had to say in that rant was Soulja Boy sucks dick and isnt even a rapper more of a person who just says one catchy thing to get mainstream music lovers to like his shitty music.
 
better yet, i'd like to see how pathetic he would look performing his song and dance outside of a studio or without backup dancers
 
yes soulja boy is terrible and if you think those songs are bad you have to hear his "underground" shit. he has a song called: doo doo head it is the worst song i have ever heard

it goes like this:
"i was at a party talking to this bitch
she opened up her mouth and it smell like shit
god damn whats going on
you look right but your breath smells wrong"

and it gets worse. soulja boy is everything that is wrong with hip hop. i have no problem with music that has catchy beats and is fun to dance to but he uses horrible rhymes with terrible beats
 
FUCK SOULJA BOY ha has no originality in him not even for his name he had to go and steel the name from the BTNH member SOULJAH BOY. that is how lame he is. and his song where he is screaming YA TRICK it sounds like he has down syndrome . soulja boy needs to die!
