SOTY Henrik vs Torin

TBH, it's everyone's opinions. It's a tough choice for me because they both had a good year this past winter.
 
Henrik accomplished so much more than Torin did this season. I personally like Torin more, but it is skier of the YEAR after all...
 
Food for thought: Torin didn't miss a podium all season. (Three Golds, Four Silvers). He is also 17 years old and has six X-Games medals. Henrik is a boss don't get me wrong, but it's not all Wu-Tang and nose butters to win SOTY.
 
x games isnt shit man. skiing is so much gayer now days we need some more creativity and dollo brings it.

ps all tha spots he stopped at this year with inspired will get kids stoked

I think the only way to solve it is to throw them in the octagon with a pair of ski poles and whoever makes it out alive gets the title.

Thoughts?
 
I voted for Torin but I think Henrik will win. I couldn't be happier with this last matchup so I wouldn't in any way be disappointed if Henrik won.
 
Both skiers are fucking sick, I voted for Torin because not only is he dominating at comps, but he shows that comp skiers can have individual style that is awesome to watch. Most people on NS think comp skiers have no style, I strongly disagree, I won't continue because that belongs in a different thread. Anyway, as impressive as Henriks nose butter triple was (I will never forget it) he has been doing the same thing for the past couple years. It is time for change, Torin is one of my favorite skiers to watch, and I know he's just going to keep getting better and better.
 
Yeah at this point, either henrik or torn deserve to win.

The real important issue here is female soty, and we all now Maude should take it.
 
Henrik deserves it. like Mahaloskier said, nose butter trip out of the blue.

Torin is young, don't even doubt that he will win skier of the year in the future, if not next year especially due the to Olympics coming up.
 
Henrik is a degenerate.

Torin is not, and is a better skier.

So yeah, Torin for sure. But Henrik will probably win because 12 year old Inspired fans have infested the ski culture.

Ok.

Henrik's trick was sick, yes. And that's great and all that he went around skiing with kids at terrain parks, good for him, give him a philanthropy award. However, that shouldn't make you skier of the year. Torin, on the other hand, represents full-on progression and absolutely slays it all season long in every aspect of the free ski scene. Going huge in the pipe, developing the sickest style and huge bag of tricks within the last year, and being 18 FUCKING YEARS OLD. How is that not insanely impressive?

And do I even need to talk about how TYW displays a much better image of our sport? I'd rather not have rasta monkey boy being the image of free skiing.

Like I said earlier though, the tall tee children of NS want what they want.
 
None of this actually makes him better than Henrik, except maybe in pipe.

Henrik was once, 18, progressing, developing the sickest style and bag of tricks. He was also not winning SOTY.

As i said before, Torin's time will come.
 
Voting for Henrik simply because the demo tour they did this year was super rad. Very cool idea, always good to bring skiing to the kids.
 
but let's be real, Henrik was on the podium 14 of the 16 comps he was in, aand he did the inspierd demo tour and the let it flow movie. He deserves to win imo. :)))))
