Soo... Anyone ever gotten a rail stolen?

So I have had a little setup spot for my PVC rails for like 3 years now. So I hadn't been to my setup in like 3-4 days because there hasn't been enough snow. I went there about 20 minutes ago and all 6 of my fucking rails are gone. These things were built pretty sturdily and were kinda heavy. Not sure who in the hell would want my rails but i guess someone out there is stupid enough to have taken them.

Brought a PVC rail to my mountain around opening day when they had no park. Set it up on a trail that wasn't open yet only blowing snow. Left the rail to go ski a few laps and when I came back it was gone, no one knew where it went when we asked. Kinda asking for it to be taken here, but yes, I have had a rail stolen.

probably construction works going around taking back all their pvc pipes

nope.avi

if pipe leaves the site for whatever reason it's not going back to be put in the ground. way too many liabilities surrounding how easy pvc cracks. Also, if you guys are snagging pipes off of active sites please stop. It's really annoying getting blamed for not having it in a secure enough location and it's literally coming out of your taxes 99% of the time anyways. Find a company that has a big ass pipe pile and just call whoever the owner is and ask if you can grab a couple shitty pipes. 99% of the time they're just sitting/rotting/taking up pit space anyways.

my friends and I have had like a tube a year go missing. Pretty sure it's city workers, cleaning up what is technically garbage. the only way we've found to keep shit set up for months on end is to set it up in the forest, or where other skiiers aren't going to see/ snag it.

that's pretty ruthless, but at the same time if people see something cool and unguarded, they will take it. The way of the road I guess.

one time i asked a road worker if i could snag a corrugated pipe and he said if it is still there when they are putting new pipes in i could have it. Shout out to that dude.

that's pretty dope. Where I work if shits laying around after the jobs done, someone I work with is gonna either scrap it for beer money or make some o/t getting it back to our pit, big props to that dude.

I myself haven't had any of the 6 rails I have stolen. But one of my friends had a pvc rail confiscated and probably destroyed by a bylaw officer.

Obviously they wouldn't do that.

Yea, me and my group of friends are the only skiiers in the neighbor that would dare hit a rail in the first place.

I doubt that another skier would take 6 rails... Probably only a city worker would be determined to remove all 6 heavy rails.

if a foreman or super or whoever was getting blamed for it I could see it happening I guess, depending on the guy obviously. but like, if a cracked pipe went in the ground.... I wouldn't want to be responsible for that.

my money's still on city workers or other riders though

double post but I completely missed the joke if you hadn't noticed lol

joking around and talking about pipe going missing doesn't really add up in my mind, until it's pointed out I guess.
