Sony vegas 6/8 help

I just dowloaded sony vegas 6 on utorrent and used a keygen.... but i need some help using it.... any tips to get started out?

tips as in how to edit with it or how to use the crack and get it working?

but to split a clip, you hit s, theres a starter.

and if you want to move all the clips at once instead of just one, hit ctrl+ l or click the button on the tool bar that looks like rectangle with an arrow above it pointing it to another rectangle (called auto ripple)

I tried that shit, really complicated and overwhelming. I just had a basic knowledge of just windows media player (lol) and when i tried using that shit i was so lost.

Does Vegas edit in MPEG2 meaning like HDD Camcorder format?
