I am trying to decide between the VX2100 and the AG-DVC30. I like the VX2100 better because of the low light and just the shape and weight of it but price is about $300-$500 difference.

i love my vx2100, it's great for low light and if your just starting out i don't think you could get a better cam, i say vx2100.

For what you are going to pay for that 2100 you could buy my very very new (but slightly used dvc30 with a shitload of extras).

I have lowered the asking price to $2100 shipped with insurance.

Here's the details....

-Panasonic AG-DVC30- Perfect condition, 11 hrs on the meter. Original packaging and manual still intact.

-Original accessories that are included with the camera are:

Camera Top Removeable Handle

Lens Hood

Lens Cap

Eye Cup (Large and Small)

Shoulder Strap

AC Cables

DC Cables

Video/Audio Cables

AC Adapter/Battery Charger

Battery

Wireless Remote Control

-Additional spare battery

-Panasonic AG MYA 30g XLR Adaptor

-Raynox HD 6600 Wide Angle Adaptor

-Sigma 1.5x Telephoto Adaptor

-Sunpak UV Filter

-Sunpak Circular Polarizer

-Vidpro Camera Bag

-Burton Zoom Pack- This is a high quality, extremely difficult to find camera backpack. This pack is designed for shooters who are active and/or shooting run and gun style video. I firmly believe that this was the very last one available in the U.S. at the time I purchased it.

And a photo.....

The tripod is the only thing I'm keeping.

eww, VX2100s look like shit for ski filming. The picture is too sharp and blue oriented if you know what i mean, looks too digital and lame. Go for a GL2 or AG if you can, they produce better colours and look more like film. Anyone who says the GL2 doesnt perform well in low light doesnt know how to make presets.

VX is good for skate filming to an extent, and reality filming like football games or documentaries. Ski shots you want to capture colours, and get a nice soft picture - I would buy that guys AG if i were you.
