Does anyone else have one? I just bought the mz-n505 and it's dope. any complaints from people who've used em?

By the way, sony refurb factory outlets are amazing. I picked mine up as a refurbished no scratches looking totally brand new for 99 american.

I have the same model as you Detective, and at first it wouldn't record from the stereo to the MD beacuse the cord they gave me was wrong. After trying about 3 other cords, it now works and is great. I love that I can take it anywhere and it doesn't skip or whatever.

the only problem with them is that stupid copyright thing on the minidisct.com forum they have a better way of downloading i think but it is complicated. my remote broke it sucks

and my sony is sooo durable i was jumping on the trampoline with it and it fell out of my pocket bounced on the trampoline once and flew on the ground i thought it would ow broken cause it fell from like ten feet up but when i looked down it was still playing and was fine I have dropped it soo many times the only thing the broke is the remote

Sony is so dope. I have the MZ-R70 and it hasnt skipped once. I've even fallen right on it when I was skiing and it kept playing.

I bought the mz-s1 and have no complaints yet, I was bouncing it off my bed and couldent make it skip and the sound quaily is wicked.

 
Sony is definatly my favorite for personal audio. I got a nice discman 4 years ago this christmas, it worked for about 3 years fine. Now I can barely use it though, The lazer tray is all loose and it skips like mad.

DON'T buy TDK. Their products suck. Last March I bought the TDK mojo CD/MP3CD player and it only had 3-4 hours of battery life on Duracel Ultras. Less with every other battery I tried (and I was forced to try many!). It was close to 300 CDN so I was a little pissed off. The guy in the store told me it had 30 hours of Batt life, then I read 10 on their website later. I got a full refund + $20. Still need a new discman, and badly. I use mine alot. I don't think I would buy a MD because I have so many CDs.

my friends have the NET md...made me so mad, like a month after i bought mine they started selling those...i can still hook it up to the pc but it doesn't go 32x

its the best thing ive ever baugth behind my skiis, i love my 505, since i got it soo cheap an di does like everthing, it burns fast, good quality, and charges, if your getting one, just buy a couple of things - extended warenty, good headphones (over 50 bucks) and some chargable batteries.

i got the MZ-N707 its fuckin sweet! i got this one cause my old one broke, but i havent had any problems wid the new ones.

The on thing i dont like about them is they are to quiet...they gotta make em louder....besides that they're awsome..!!

I wanted to get a blue 505, but the store didn't have them, so I ended up with a silver one. It still rocks though, I love it! Does anyone know how to eliminate the hissing noise when you record from a stereo? Its not bad, but kind of annoying.

to eliminate that, find an optic out and an optic chord and make sure your source is good quality. IE CD, not radio. analog generally has a slight his. but since you have a net md screw from the stereo haha

ya if you dont wanna go buy one just dissconect the one that runs from your computer to the speakers, I'm just assuming you have them.
