Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 7.2MP, a good camera?

what do you think of this camera? will it take good highspeed shots? Ski photography would be sick! Skiing and photography is ILL!

Most of the better camera's will do decent ski photos. What you wanna check is how well it handles sequences because that's the fastest it can take pictures.

why not go with the DSC-H7?

it's 8.2MP

a dslr takes better pictures faster

Check out the Nikon D80. It's a DSLR plus it's about the same price as that camera.

If you want a good camera there's simply no reason not to step up to DSLR that I can see.

that camera has shutter lag--right away youre going to want to avoid it if youre looking for action photography. i bought a dslr for over 100 dollars cheaper and it does all that camera does and much more

Get a Nikon D40. Hell, you could even afford a D50 or one of the Canon D series cams at that price.

Megapixles doesn't matter over 7.It only makes the picture bigger so you can print your picture like the size of a poster.
