Songs not to put in edits

figured id make this cause i always hear the same song and its so annoying and wanted to see what other people think is overused

Here are a couple:
mgmt- kids, time to pretend, and electric feel
justice- D.A.N.C.E.
M.I.A- Paper Planes
 
I've seen at least 1 ski edit with it, but I have seen at least half a dozen skate/snowboard edits with it. It's a good song, but is so played for edit.

Any loud and "in your face" rock, like most screamo bands do NOT flow at all in an edit. I prefer more laid back rap or anything chill. Unless the edit is extremely fast paced and intense, then screamo is never a good choice.
 
^^^^^If it is in a ski movie everyone has seen you should definitely not use it. I wouldn't use a song I heard in another edit that a lot of people have seen.
 
To the thread creator...I happen to really like those songs.

But Paralyzer by Finger Eleven...fuck that shit. Gross!

Biggie is really good for edits.
 
all of swollen members as much as i love them i remember watching yearbook and they had like 6 songs in there by swollen members
 
i dont think he was so much saying that they arnt good songs, just that they are either over used by people for edits

theese are songs i like but have been used, you shuld never use a song that has already been used in an edit or a film by someone else, have some creativity, don't cheat.

i struggle to think of many, but there are loads that get recycled too much

some that need to be used are ones that don't involve gun noises or lines about growing up in da hood or anything else that you've heard a thousand times before.
