Alright so i downloaded the song from the windells segment in turbo off itunes, real sweet french song where the first 3 minutes are great, then all of a sudden the french bitch just starts screaming like shes about to die for the following three minutes. Any one know a way to edit the song so i can just cut off the last three minutes? oh an i use a mac

Yeah problem is when i go to drop the song in garageband since i bought it off itunes its "protected" and wont let me do it, im trying to download it off limewire or find an unprotected version of it

Just edit the song ending in Itunes. Its under song preferences. You can set where songs start and end. This is very handy for trimming blank audio out of those damn "hidden tracks"

for me its right click the song - get info - options - then just pick where you want to start and end.

Garage band wont let you edit songs you buy from itunes. all u have to do is get the song off limewire or something and then edit in garage band.

FL is windows only

Garage band can be tedious for editing, I use pro tools, but you need audio interfaces for that. Use audacity even though it has huge stability problems.

Well actually you can do it in iTunes...

Heres how:

- Right-click your song

- Click "Get Info"

- Click the "Options" tab

- Click the box that is infront of "Stop Time:"

- Enter 3:00 for your stop time

- Click the box that is infront of "Remember playback position"

- I hope you can listen to the song without being disturbed...

Do you guys know how to separate the singing in a song and the beat of the song.
like separate the lyrics from the beat

Thats almost impossible once a song is mixed. High Five wrote alot about it once in a thread but its virtually impossible.

Usually you can just find the vocals on the net leaked, or if you want the instrumental you can find it usually. But if you have the instrumental and want the vocals, theres some way supposedly that you match the instrumental to the real song, and it takes out the instruments, but that sounds like voo doo to me

sweet. I just downloaded Audacity. Gonna use it after i make the edit for Skiing at St. Mary's Glacier this coming weekend

if you have the instrumentals and want the vocals, this should work (i have never done it but i think in theory it would work fine)

you get the original song, and match the instrumentals up so they play at EXACTLY the same time. then just get the negative of the instrumentals track, and play it over with the original song. this should cancel out the waves of just the instrumentals, and leave the lyrics in tact.

again, ive never done it, but it should work.

its trying to make me pay for it when i go to the fill out email and stuff. can this be avoided or do i seriously have to pay that flat fee..?
