I was looking at ski trailers and happened to find this when watching ESK's trailer and remembered I'd seen that shot before and found it in the Revolver trailer..kinda funny

And that is how you know that the ski industry is too small and too close with eachother. To all filmmakers and wannabe filmmakers... no body will be impressed/ buy your movie if you leak the entire thing in edits or share footage with other companies... Keep your footage secret and make something worth spending $25 on. (as a reference it takes years for a skateboard movie to come out... YEARS)

Honestly every year in most ski movies there are many shots that blow my mind that were not in the trailer.

I would much rather get stoked for say nimbuses movie every year then have to wait every three years to see one.

Same. I think there are a bunch of really sick ski movies that come out every year. I like how they come out every year.

haha dude way back when ( like 5 years ago) most ski movies shared footage especially from big park shoots because in the olden days nobody had enough money to due mulitple shoots so everybody got to gather and did super park. It was pretty cool

i like how the other tab on your browser is 'how to take screen shots'. i've seen that many times in my career on the internet and it always gets me

haha yeah it was the first time i've ever taken one...I didn't know that all the companies used to share the same footage back in the day...I just thought this was pretty funny cause it's the exact same skier/trick in different movies...anyone know what skier that is??

sucks you don't know what you're talking about...

its a great way to make extra coin by SELLING your shots while not damaging the impact of the overall movie whatsoever. no one shares or leaks their shit. do you think anyone would have noticed if this kid never mentioned it?

You guys would've hated the early days of ski movies... MSP, PBP, and 3 other random film companies all had the same tricks and similar angles for 50% of the movie...every year.

a few years to make a ski movie and 3/4th of the shots you have from 2 years earlier are outdated tricks. skiing is progressing too fast to take that long

I definitely like that ski movies come out every year cause I don't have that much patience, but now that I think about it there could be a plus to ski movies coming out once every few years.

If production companies planned out who would release a movie when, making sure a few movies are released each year, instead of having to choose a couple movies out of a group, you could just buy the few that come out which would all be super banger since they took years to make.

wholy shit why does everybody have to get so damn uptight!

They probably used the shot in both productions because it was really fucking sick which means that you get to see it in both movies which is awsome.

i dont see what there is to complain about....

I don't really mind, get to see how different companies edit things differently. I don't really buy all the ski movies anyway...

But a really big best-of every 5 years or something would be cool. Someone should go do that. Go. And make a torrent. Please?
