Something is very wrong, I'm sick

A few hours ago I posted about preventing a cold, I had a runny nose and shit. Now a couple hours later my throat it swollen, my tonsils are swollen and I can't even swollow. How did something hit this fast and what could it be?

That happened to me when I had croup (sp?) but it didn't happen it 2 hours, so its probably an allergic reaction to something.

my friend had his tonsils swell up and it turned out that he had mono. it could be a pretty rough couple of weeks coming up for you... go to a doctor asap
