Something I Was Thinking About Just Now (A Share Thread?)

I don't know, it's 1:37 in the am, can't sleep, and i usually stay up all night anyways. I'm really interested in anthropology and human lifestyles and stuff, and I was just thinking it's pretty interesting, and cool how there are so many members of NS that unless we knew the person outside of the NS community, we don't know shit about the lives of the people who post just above or beneath us, or who they are (unless they happen to tell us a random story in the Non-Ski Gabber). NS is the only place in time and space where many of our lives will ever intersect, and still because of skiing, the only thing we are almost totally positive about everybody, we are willing to communicate with each other on a pretty sane basis. Anyways... that led me to have an idea to, in the best way to avoid controversy as possible, start a thread to share something, or a few things, about ourselves that other people may or may not know or assume. Anything.

....It might bomb, but I think it'd be kind of interesting, as long as people are chill about it.

1. I 'm a freshman at the University of San Diego... (It feels like my nuts have been cut off without winter...)

2. I've traveled to Europe

2. I have a stuffed moose at my house from when I was 1, his name is Wiley

4. I've never had the opportunity to ski out West

 
i have my finals tomorrow and i dont want to study so ill type trivial things about me that no one will ever remember reading...

2. i like all fruit and veg better if its unripe

1. I'm about to graduate highschool, than moving on to Kent State Univ

2. I love MMA, and will start going to a Gracie Jiujitsu school next spring

3. My local mountain is like 90 minutes away which sucks ass

4. My friend once ran into me on skis and knocked me unconcious
 
1. i'm a freshman at northeastern university

2. i love jazz

3. i've dated the same greek girl for the past 3 1/2 years

4. claude monet is my favorite artist, next to salvador dali

5. i scored 2nd on my baritone sax in last year's all-state jazz fest
 
1. I've been teaching snowboarding for the last 7 years. I love it!

2. I eat the outside of a Reese's first, then the middle.

3. I have yet to make it out west. :(

4. I live less than 2 minutes from my mountain.
 
1 - I am 22 years old, and just going back to College starting next fall.

2 - I have never skied out west,

3 - I travelled to France twice. The first was with my whole family, and the second was for 3 weeks was me and my brother staying with a family we know there.

4 - I work in an office doing the same mundane tasks all day long and absolutely despise it and cannot wait to go back to college and start pursuing a career of my choice.

im a senior in HS

i love skiing

i have been out west once (for skiing)

some day i plan on visiting 6 continent's and every state ( i have about 20 in the bag)

i drive a sucky 92 ford station wagon, (but i can fit so many people and skis in there)

 
Oh, and in Middle School i was a trumpet player in the Marching Band and did the St Patricks Day Parade in New York City, and some Cherry Blossom festival parade in Washington DC.

Definitely a little known fact.
 
i am in grade 12 in orillia ontario at a catholic school

i once shook hands (and flippers) with a dolphin

ive been out west 3 times, 2 skiing once an alaskan cruise

i spent most of my life completely sure of what i wanted to do, and a month before i have to make the decision i am doubting it.

I will always drink beer from a cup if possible, unless if its in a cool bottle

my skis are invaders

my favorite bands are coheed, saosin, smashing pumpkins, anberlin, mars volta, and red hot chili peppers
 
im 19 and grew up in whistler

im taking one college class at CAP to avoid nagging mother

the first band i ever liked was Rancid. i love punk

im dating a local whistler girl who lives in vancity now

me grandmother is the best reviewed and most famous sex ed teacher in Canada and Japan. Meg Hickling, if you've gone to school in BC, shes probably talked to you.
 
I'm in 11th Grade at Sehome High School in Bellingham Washington.

I used to ride a plastic tractor around with a bucket on my head.
 
Im 18 and live in Toronto, go to an alternative school an hour away on scarborough.

I was born in yellowknife NWT and I've lived above the artic circle.

The only way i get to ski during the winter is by instructing half the time.

I like almost every genre of music, from black metal to punk, and hip hop to electronica.

i listen to almost exclusively hip-hop, but some raggae and classic rock..

ive got two brothers in college.

no ones gonna read that.

4.) I skied almost exclusively at mount snow last season but this season I bought the stratton/sunapee/okemo pass and I have matching green pants and jacket
5.) I met/had a long talk with Chris Davenport last thursday and it was fucking awesome. He signed my magazines.
 
i'm a sophomore in highschool

been skiing since the age of 7, so 8 years

i'm very easily bored, especially in school

if a subject does interest me i always try to learn the most about it

i'm an only child

i love going out, but hate almost all the people around here

i have skied out west 3 times. 1 vail, 2 breck

i only actually "like" about 5 of the people in my group of friends

i truly wish i was about 19, most of the people i like to hang out with are that age including my cousin who i idolize skiing wise

i am most likely going to meet seth (my favorite skier of all time) this year thanks to my cousin

thats about all i got.
 
im a junior at hudson high (ohio)

i enjoy life to its fullest.

my parents have trust issues so college's gonna kick ass.

i ride last years rossis

im 5 mins from my hill.

1. i'm a senior at oxford hills comprehensive high school in south paris maine.

2. when i was in elementary school i had my birthday party at the oxford snowtubing park twice (as seen in freeskier Road trip)

3. shea flynn's cousin is my guidence counsleur.

4. last night i found out i got accpeted to uvm. 

5. i wrote the last 3 on michelles wall a few hours ago.
 
1. I'm a Junior in High School in NJ and I can't wait to leave.

2. I've been obsessed with skiing since I was 2 and I love surfing as well.

3. Today I got the old "OMG I love skiing too! Can you do black diamonds!!" always funny..

4. I like photography too but I've got a lot to improve at.
