This is great, but now you can't tell whether the post was made in the AM or PM hours. Not that big of a deal, but it might be important in some cases.

i forgot why but the other day i really needed to know if something was posted pm or am. you just have to check the date of a post and compare it to a later post. so if something was posted at 11:00 on the 12th and the next post was at 1:00 on the 13th then it was probably 11:00 pm at the time.

I never look at the time anyways...just the date if it's a old thread that got bumped.

That's true, but in some forums (ex. gear talk) there may not be a post for over 12 hours and the thread will still be on page 1. They should put in AM and PM.
