Everyone on NS is not invincible and not the best. Everyone always acts like tough shit and brings the sport of skiing down. I was just answering a person's question in a thread, and someone comes in and says, 'I'm ashamed that I posted in this thread.'

I mean, if you want skiing to die and skiers to be viewed as dicks, then go right ahead and leave NS, cuz that's not what we do. Some old schoolers do, but not us new schoolers.

There are so many kids that are the future of skiing and everyone treats them like dirt. Why I ask? If there is a 13 year old kid out there who likes to ski because that's what he did first, and he's pressured by his friends to snowboard cuz it's 'cool' and he comes on NS and asks a couple questions and people act like dicks to him, do u really think he will want to be a skier?

I mean, when I decided to screw the peer pressure of snowboarding skiers were cool and nice, but now on NS everyone who posts has to make fun of the person how asked a question that may seem obvious to others. How do u think something is obvious to people, it's because people always talk about it!

So everyone, think before you post something that's negative towards another NewSchooler. Thanks, and be nice.

I think it's a decent point, however, it all ties in with the 'stepping up the sport' or whatever, thread. c and p your opinions there, they will be valued. let this thread die and put your post in an active one, where it will be seen and appreciated :-)

Shit talking is always annoying, especially when you work so hard to keep a site like this running. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and some people don't take the net as seriously as others do. What I worry about is with all the useless fighting and selfishness, our sport could go down the tubes and no one would do anything because apparently it's not cool to care.

Just my two cents.

its just a site no one on the internet is the same as they are in real life, its kind of dumb but people feel tough over the net... i think it is is gay to put down people though i try to be nice when ever i can, the only time i have insulted is with the oakley osamas but i can see why that kid believed they were real, but honestly we should try to just all be cool to each other and give tips

yes, true, but it CAN'T get out of control. Snowboarding is already well established, and skiing is not. snowboarding will not die, on the path it's on now. it has a reputation, and although it's that all snowboarders are bad kids, skiing can't afford to get that image, ecause the popularity of newschooler skiing. we need to keep the hate between ourselves. we can't have these fights in terrain parks and shit over who hits rails first, and that shit.

we need to grow our sport guys, not kill it. bitch at eachoter on here, sure, it'sthe net. but you can still respect each other. and you BETTER do that on the hill.

Sorry but I could really care less about the progression of the sport. I like skiing, I like progressing but I could honestly care less in 5 years if the pros are doing a double backflip to rail or a single backflip to rail why would I care?

Honestly, I think flaming on the net is extremely lame. The powdermag forum is the worst for it. If you don't want NS to turn into that you better watch what you say in here.
