Something crazy about 'the streets'

I have been listening to nonstop classical music lately trying to get new ideas for my next album.

I also just went through hundreds of orchestra samples on a website. I went to listen to one and it sounded extremely familiar. One of the stock orchestra samples was the exact thing for what The streets used for 'dry your eyes.'

Note for note, it was the entire intro. It also had the rest of the song in another section, as well as a few other of the songs.

Get this, the samples are for sale for $1 each.

That means that The Streets went to this website, bought the samples and beats for $1 dollar, changed hardly anything on it, quickly rapped across all of them about stuff that happened the week before, turned around sold it again and made thousands if not more off it.

they're not my fave. i never really got into them. it just seems too slow for me. bloc party is the closest i can come to them. they just seem lacksidasical to me. but some of their lyrics are pretty good.

i am almost 100% sure that you are confusing yourself with somebody who has a good taste in music...?

oh yea teddy, you got owned mother fucker!

but i don't listen to the streets, never really heard anything of theirs..heard one song and it was weird, not my steeze

The Streets definitely don't appeal to everyone. You either hate them or love them. But before making your mind up about them, make sure you listen to the song 'turn the page'. I think it's a pretty revolutionary hip hop song. He manages to slay deep poetry over a powerful and progressive beat.

I like a few songs by the streets but for me they dont hit the spot.

The Streets are absolutely horrible. It's really embarassing to hear him rap, over the pathetic beats the put together. Although I must admit they are so bad, they're entertaining to listen to.

If you want to hear some good rap check out Blackalicious.

stop talking like you know hip hop...im sick of the kids on this website and thinking they know everything about music.

4FRNT.

GhostDragon you should make a completley instrumental album, like those epic RJD2-like songs. Rap to me is bunk but if you made an instrumental you would be my god.

because I like pooh.

hahaha stupid dolphins.

I dont mind em

the first time i heard "same old thing" right before original pirate material came out, i was hooked. it certainly doesnt appeal to everyone, but to me, the streets is so sick

and turn the page is an amazing song

the streets are great, anyone who writes the word 'gosh' into a song lyric has it for me. dizzee rascal is pretty good but i'm telling you it's all about goldie lookin' chain... GLC all the way. davros chariots? rascals? yes!

its just mike and his mac. no one else he has a microphone and a mac and he just sits in his rooms and makes all that shit. its fucking brillant. "a grand dont come for free" is just as entertaining as a fucking movie. the story is crazy and its easy to get into it. best song by far is blinded by the lights. he got the experience of E perfectly.

Im RICK JAMES bitch

good shit i must say yet again
