in the process of hitchhiking back home i stopped to grab food, when i went beach outside to the bush i hid my filthy riches they weren't there. If anyone sees someone with a pair of last years FR's with new white and grey atomic sth 13's kick his ass and help me get my skis back

well i dont know how much help ill be all the way over here, but if they happen to show up in Baltimore i got your back homie

let ALL the shops know. Not a common ski, especially with those bindings. Do you have the Serial number? I will definitely keep an eye out.

That sucks. Gotta never let your skis outta your sight. Especially those skis and especially at Hood. Bunch of douchebag portland hipsters and other assorted jerk offs

Sorry to hear your skis got jacked, ive been locking my Chronics up with a bike cable since people in NM are fucked enough to drive to the resorts just to steal gear:/ get ton of weird looks but for all i know it coulda stopped someone from grabbing them. Anyway i preordered a few of these---> http://www.thetileapp.com/ ---> so im gonna superglue them to my topsheets right near a binding, maybe cover them with like a plastic cap so it isnt recognizable as a gps device and to protect em a little extra.

Im interested to see if the battery would hold up in cold weather but other than that, the idea of finding the Shithead who jacked your skis and gettting them back (before burning a hole in their engine block with thermite and kicking them in the nuts) would definitely be worth the 20 bucks these things cost.

FUCK SKI THIEVES

If someone stole my filthys i'm pretty sure i would in tears for days haha. I really fucking hate people that find it okay to steal and generally fuck the world up

Definetly asking for one of these for Christmas, if anyone touched my skis I'd be furious. Good luck finding them Joe!

Your best bet is to check craigslist....

specifically for surrounding areas...portland, seattle, tri shities, spokane...etc. Most of the time these fucks steal and then resell in other cities to go unnoticed and it works.

But I think when you declare them stolen everyone whit the app will have a pop-up or an alarm if they are near.

I secretly want to see somebody steal my skis so i can beat the crap out of um. Good luck on your search man, i hope theres a good fight in your future haha i got your back.

ooooo, I have an idea!

1. use iPhone with 100% battery and Find my iPhone

2. build a compartment for the phone in a discreet place (good luck)

3. have skis stolen

4. cross your fingers that the robber doesn't see the phone and use Find my iPhone

5. ???

6. reclaim skis and bury dead robber body

http://www.thetileapp.com/#features it actually only has a 50-150ft range... sorry to burst everyone's bubble. BUT there is a pretty interesting feature built into the Tile network, where it's not just 50-150ft from YOUR phone, but from ANY Tile user's phone. So once there are enough users the range becomes pretty huge. And if said robber happened to walk by a Tile user, you'd get an update on the location.

Bummer dude. I've been hearing about a lot of shit getting stolen at Timberline and Meadows in the past few weeks. Thieving bitches working their mischievous trade in the early season. Keep an eye on your shit.

I had my Line Blends stolen last year, fucking livid for days. Thank jesus that ski patrol was actually helpful for once and found my skis, I'm guessing some doucher snagged them and "joy rode" them and hucked them back on a rack when his parents found out or something. I got a call 4 days later that they had found them. Best day and phone call ever.

Don't you dare steal my shit. LOCK YOUR STUFF.

Sorry homie, thats so shitty. I started to just wrap a lock around my skis usually just the sight of a lock is enough to detour someone

Did you buy them directly from us? If so, we should have the specific serial number for the pair you got on file. It is hard to find on the skis, but easy once you know where to look. We will let our Portland shops know to be on the lookout for them. If you need that serial number give us a call on Thursday when we are back in after the holiday.

Sorry about your skis.

NOOOOO JOEEEE NOT THE FILTHY"S!!! MY OLD BABIES ARE GONE!!! i hope you find em! if you dont find em you can have my old ones! Im sorry man!

Ill take pics and make a thread when i do get em and stick them to my skis, but from what i understand once these are out on the market, anybody who has the "Tile" app can pass within 500 feet of it at anytime after its set to lost mode, and it notifies you (the owner of the lost tile) of its exact location. So it might take some time for the community using these to get really big, but if they had taken your gear to a shop or even in their house or car, and one person with that App passed by or walked in you would know exactly where they currently were. Also im thinking if my skis submarine off under deep powder i could save myself a ton of digging and poking around. Im sure it wont be long before there is a similar device that locates way more effectively but this is a hell of a start

My gf just bought some nice poles and was wondering would usin a ski lock through the straps really deter a thief? I was thinking about bringing them inside the lodge if we ever go inside

I took a look at those tiles and they don't even have a battery so it does not need to be charged and it works over gps so I am guessing the range is pretty good! thanks for showing that i'll be buying a few of those.

I use the racks that lock with the pin, ski lock or something its called. but the poles are in between two bars so you can get them out but it seems like you can.
