Someone please give valuable input

SO a bunch of my friends have asked me to film them surf this summer and im lacking a lens that has the range needed. i have been looking at 500mm telephotos and mirror lenses because they are genrally withing 100 dollars which is what i want to spend. im fully aware how these things work so i dont need to know it again. the question is, are these lenses capable of keeping a subject who is moving at a decent speed (surfing), within focus at ease from filming from the beach say 100 meters out, OR will i be stuck with having to master the focus on these things from far out and constantly getting a blurry image. SIDENotE** im concerned with taking video not photosTHANKS
 
They are unsharp, lack contrast and to be able to track objects in focus you will need next-level finger dexterity.

Get in the water?

Any lens that costs $100 (besides maybe a vintage 50) is going to give you dick for IQ.
