Now this is a good idea.

Crunk_Ryan - I think I mega failed on our whistler meeting. Wanna chat tomorrow morning early and I'll give you a wicked "Sorry I fucked up our meeting" discount on some ads?

maybe something a bit more creative... something that utilizes photoshop because mine crashed otherwise i would just make one in paint. here was my last ad but i want something that people will want to click on. 574259.png thanks for contributing anyways!

if you would like i can render it properly.

Guys - the biggest mistake that people make with banners is making crazy flashing animated .gif files.

First off, always note the specs: https://newschoolers.com/mediakit/?page=bannersspecs

Second - use elegance, and talk to the client about what the purpose of this banner is.

Ryan - you need to ask yourself, WHY does this banner exist? Who is it targeting? What measurable statistic are you trying to improve on your end?

If you're trying to get people to a sale, then the banner should have a clear focused message describing that sale. If the idea is branding and your goal is to have people recall your brand later when they're going to make a purchasing decision, you need something clean and very cool.

Same if you're promoting a contest, likes on your FB page... whatever. If you give everyone more of an idea of your goal, as well as who your campaign is targeting, then we can really get something effective together.

Also make sure to be really careful about targeting your buy. I assume you're going to use the self-serve system. It can be great, but I recommend doing a narrow geographic focus as well as a shorter but high-impact timeframe.

Finally, Banners lose their effectiveness about 1-2 weeks after posting. I highly recommend either using multiple different creatives all at once, or rotating them every 7-12 days. Bonus points if your marketing message flows across the entire set.

Would you maybe like something like this? I checked the website and thought something in this colors would go along with it well. I also made this really quickly, assuming you're in a hurry, but would love to work on this more if you have some extra time.

Gotta get the stats right. Look at the media kit for them.

If you're too lazy:

728x90, .png, .jpg, .swf, .gif

Under 50k filesize

i like this one the best, personally. It doesn't have too much going on, its not flashing and annoying, and it has a great shot. I dig it

Credit to Suuskur obviously. Just retouched and spiced up. Tough to come up with good stuff with not a lot to work with. He definitely made the best of what he had to work with

Made yet another. I'm having fun making these. You could just use all of the ones I've made for $60. Again, you may have to click it.574556.gif

I agree. this would definitely be clicked on the most. the others are like any other ad on NS, with a company logo and ski photo.
