Some thoughts on the Invader situation

For anyone who is saying "Just rivet the invaders" so that they don't delam- BULLSHIT. If the skis were at risk Line should have riveted them in the first place. When you buy a new car, you don't expect it to need structural reinforcement just so that the bumper doesn't fall off when you try to drive it. I hope that any Line reps on this site realize that the reputation of their company is going to complete shit. Luckily, they have some ignorant and loyal retards on this site who are sticking by them, even though their new skis are falling apart (probably because they like the stupid Line tshirts). I don't own Line skis, and unless there is a huge turnaround, I never will. The fact is, that there are huge problems with the better part of an entire model year of a ski. It seems that people on this site from all over are having problems, and it probably isn't limitted to the prototype.

You need to chill out. Line is a badass ski company and they know their shit. The invader is a great concept and a great price. Sit down.

"and it probably isn't limitted to the prototype."

You're making an assumption here. We need to wait and see if it is production skis delaminating or if it is protypes, instead of jumping to conclusions.

Think about it. How many people on this site own LINE. And then think, there's about 5 complaining about their Invaders. Okay, so then what, the rest of the people love them. And still, those people probably did something stupid, or high skilled. Such as: Disastering a rail (as did one of the people who origonated the invaders suck threads), many rails (which will break most skis anyways), or I heard about another guy on the site landing way backseat. I mean, what can you expect if you do something stupid on them, most skis arn't indestructable, it's just that the Invaders are new, and have been a big deal in the ski community for a while. Probably the most talked about ski of this season. Get over it everybody, LINE is not dieing.

LINE isn't dying, they have been around 10 years and their products have always been good. All manufacturers will have a few problem skis, and I did say a few. A few have had problems with their Invaders, LINE will stand behind their warranty whether it's a few or a lot. I remember hearing the same problem here on NS with the TroubleMakers when they first came out. I've never heard a word about TroubleMakers having a problem since. I question the validity of the claims as proclaimed here.

Think about this bro, the prototypes were made in Canada. The new ones are made in china. Do the math. Awesome Canadian factory which has proven itself for several years.... versus brand new factory in china. Not to mention there are a ton of unskied Invaders in stores delamming in the plastic. I'm a Line fan but that doesn't mean I have to stand for that.

My friend just got his newe line invaders, and they are tough as hell. The thing is if you ride them like a crazy fucker they they are gonna delam. Look you have 5- 7 people saying this, not the whole world in an unroar.

There are people who are gonna have skis that are gonna fuck up no matter what, soo just shut up and bear it.

funny people are saying "dont buy the invadors because they delam" and it seems to overshadow the fact that other skis in the past have had a tendancy to do that. K2 solved their problem by adding bullet rivets in their skis, simple. And what about the Trouble Makers Delaming on rails? It hasnt made their company fall apart, get real people.

If u ask me i think the invaders were way to over-rated my friends delam on the first day and he dont even like how they ride

sadly you will not think that the invadors are shit because your friend had a bad experience with him. I bet you that your friend wasnt doing regular carving or jumps when those things delammed

You think about it. Think about being one of the five. Think about how stoked you were to have the Invader. Think about how you felt when the fucking things delammed after riding groomers, NOT doing something stupid, NOT doing something high skilled, riding down a fucking slope because the park is not open yet. And yes, the Invaders are a big deal, and I loved them to death the solid 12 hours I got on them, not to mention Line was cool as shit when I sent them back. BUT, they did delam, and they were not a prototype (inforced by Josh Bryant himself!)

I'm not bashing Line or the Invaders, I'll still ride them when my new pair comes in, and I still support Line, but I just threw my story out there so other people were forwarned if it happened to their skis.

actually it was the first day our little hill was open, no park, no nothin, the biggest "jump" he hit was like 2 foot tall.i mean after only like 7 hours of skiing on mash potatoes, the tails delamed
