BAGHDAD (CNN) -- A third round of explosions was seen and heard over Baghdad about 4 a.m. Thursday.

The first anti-aircraft blasts were reported over Baghdad at about 1 a.m. local time (5 p.m. EST Wednesday). CNN nightscope video showed specks of white light flashing through the air, as explosions thundered in the distance.

A second round of explosions began shortly after U.S. President Bill Clinton announced he had ordered a "strong, sustained" series of airstrikes on military and security forces in Iraq, designed to degrade Iraq's ability to develop weapons of mass destruction.

We (the US) had unprecedented support from nearly every nation on the planet Earth following 9/11. We could have easily gone after and caught Osama by now with this support. Instead, Bush squandered all this goodwill from other nations, and now has the vast majority of them either fearing us or hating us. Any idiot could have made these decicions, but it took a cowboy to really screw things up . A diplomat would have leveraged international support, and we'd be further ahead in our fight against terrorism today without the tremendous loss of life and costs. If we didn't have 150,000 troops in Iraq, imagine what we could have offered to those in need of relief after the Tsunami disaster, garnering even more international support. And.......Osama lives on. So, don't tell me Bush has been good for anything unless it's fertilizer.........and the sooner the better.
