k so today we started to build our park and they asked us what we wanted and we told them and they rejected the ideas because little kids wont be able to hit and they dont want lawsuits. so they start to build up some mounds of snow and we told them that its stupid to put it there cuz theres no speed and they all said that they dont want us to get speed and its not important,its makes no fucken sense,they have no idea what they're doing,speed is pretty much the most important thing,without it we cant do shit, but they think no speed is no good but the hell with them

Fuck, that sucks ass, dude!!! Luckily we've got a hill with a pretty good park....but of course there is our share of little assholes goin down and just sliding of the fuckin jump....and then they falll....i'm almost tempted to 'accidently' run in to 'em...but, i never have...haha

that wont worl,the place is all run by volunteers so they have no clue what to do,like theyre putting the park going on an uphill slant and then it slowly drops down to just under complete flat and they say that we get lots of speed,shit we cant even make it to the starting of the park,were just givinh up and sayin the hell with them,

i was hangin out with some of the snowboarders i work with, and the ski school suppervisor in charge of the snowboarders says our insurace wont even allow us the make a gap to rail, all of the lips to the rails have to be ride on. all these small mountains bein ripped on by insurace and little kids.

also the most annoying thing in the park is when the dad/mom says to the 3 yr old kid 'lets hit the jumps' then proceeds to put the kid between his legs and skis over the lip like it's a roller. those people will DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude they still havent built are park and ares is like retarded when they do build it, its likes little mounds of snow with a flat landings,but last year they did put one like 7 foot long rail

 
yeah little kids in the park are the worst thing ever, and ppl that use jumps onto rails as little jumps off the side should die aswell,

yeah the place here is pretty much the most terrible place to ski unless we had a park,theres so much potential with the way its made and we keep throwing them ideas but they always repsond with like well if someone gets hurt,its too far from us or people wont be able to enjoy it for entertainment purposes and all that shit there and the guy whos in charge of making it who actually knew what he was doing doesnt go anymore so he left us hanging and promised us a shit load of kinked rails and c rails and shit,

 
my home resort has one jump. they don't seem to realize that the takeoff would be sweet for a 30ft table. unfortunately the table is about 3 ft. the landing is so small and people always land at the bottom no matter what. They don't want to put a lot of effort into making it big because they think that a bigger jump will mean more injuries when a tiny jump like they have is causing a lot of injuries. (3 people had to be backboarded last night, resulting in us closing the jump)it's stupid.

yea I've been there, luckily we just got our park beefed up, we had to go to a meeting with the council, we told them why we wanted it, and how they could make it safe for anyone.. good luck with that

if the park is run by volunteers, then why don't you volunteer? Seems to be the solution right there! When we wanted a good park at my place, my brother and I volunteered to help out. Early mornings and open minds started a better park for us. Grow up and start looking for solutions instead for whining. I have no sympathy for you!

lanemeyers is right my friend, get off your lazy ass and do something. Talk to whoever's in charge and ask him if it's ok if you and your buddies take a shovel on the hill and build a 10 footer or something, nothing huge but something atleast. Also, as long as the hill has a sign warning dumb fucks to stay off the jump if they suck (more or less) then they can't get sued...

there should be an obsticle course so some people cant get to the park..the park should be right after a 6 ft ledge or something

ECFS-Attitash, you must be from some place (like the west coast) with snow and a backcountry. There are places like where I live (Thunder Bay, Ont) where it rains in December and on the same day Whistler gets 5 feet of powder. There are some places where a park is all a mountain is good for.

lanemeyers.......we are volunteers and they ask us what we want for a park and we tell them but they always reject them becuase they think its too crazy for little kids and they dont want them to get hurt,we've nagged at them so much but they still dont listen,they want it their way and its gonna suck. the guy made a quarterpipe in the middle of the park area and told me its gonna be used for speed and i tried to explain to him that having a qpipe there we'd going back up the park when we land but he was arguing sayin i was wrong and stuff.

 
come ski here and youll see what im talkin about,they hill is all torn up cuz they plowed the whole hill with the new groomer and they went to close to the ground and dirt is everywhere and now the groomer track fell off and blade in front snapped cuz they went to low

 
well be happy that u have a park now. In time it might evolve or whatever. My hill doesnt have a park but thats ok
