Some Paranormal Shit

Ok so I don't believe in ghosts or shit but something weird happened yesterday..

It was my great grandmas day of death or whatever you wanna call it, she died in 2000. And my mom was using her Safeway Club card where you out in your phone number and get discounts or whatever.. and she uses it every day.. but when she got her receipt the clerk said "thanks Ms. Ekes" and my mom was like wtf? Because that is my great grandmas name and not my moms last name. So she looked at her receipt and it said RUBY EKES 9666 where it normally says my moms name and some random numbers. My fucking great grandmas name and 666 on a Safeway receipt. They didn't even have Safeway Club cards when she died. What the fucking fuck do I make of this? When my mom gets home I will try to get a pic of the receipt.

threads for pictures of receipt.

who knows man... personally i believe there is strange shit out there and all of us are a part of something greater than ourselves.

On the real though I will deliver pics. It's some weird shit. Probably like 40 minutes till I get the pic and post it online and shit.

I do not believe sk but fuck if I know she died whenI was 5.

And clarification, I talked to my mother about it and it was actually the day of her sister's death who died when she was 17 and my mom was 13 in a drunk driving accident. Fucking weird man. And FlyingSquirrel my great grandma and mother are not attractive of that is what you ate getting at. Unless you are in to GGILF's

My fucking iPod got water damage and shut off yesterday sk I didn't have a camera. Do not lose hope yet I am still working on it.

Good news, everyone! You see, even though everything we know about how our bodies functions tells us that the mind is strictly a product of a brain- mess with the brain, you mess with the personality, the "self"- there exists another aspect to our beings. Indeed, at least part of our self is contained in an ethereal ghostly energy.

And though this energy cannot be detected in any way, yea verily, it can interact with physical reality. When we die, this cosmic nth dimensional energy is transported to a higher dimensional realm. We exist outside of space and time.

Is it not amazing? Question: did your great grandmother understand how computers worked when she was alive? If not, how amazing that she should know after death. And if she was able to gain that knowledge after death, think of how much else she might have learned!

But despite existing outside of physical reality, despite having access to vast amounts of knowledge she would not have had before death, despite having the power to interact with physical reality in very complex ways (manipulating matter and energy, yet remaining undetectable herself), she chose to send a message or manifest herself through a Safeway receipt. Call me a radical skeptic, but I have a hard time believing it was a ghost haha.

When you think of what would have to happen for a "paranormal" event to have occurred and compare it to all of the natural explanations, there's really no reason to think something supernatural happened.

pack up your stuff. Say goodbye to close friend, and GTFO of there. You don't want more shit like this happening to you, you don't know what can happen next... o.0

There are other explanations.... Read this: Occam's razor is also called the principle of parsimony. These days it is usually interpreted to mean something like "the simpler the explanation, the better" or "don't multiply hypotheses unnecessarily." In any case, Occam's razor is a principle which is frequently used outside of ontology, e.g., by philosophers of science in an effort to establish criteria for choosing from among theories with equal explanatory power. When giving explanatory reasons for something, don't posit more than is necessary. Von Däniken could be right: maybe extraterrestrials did teach ancient people art and engineering, but we don't need to posit alien visitations in order to explain the feats of ancient people. Why posit pluralities unnecessarily? Or, as most would put it today, don't make any more assumptions than you have to. We can posit the ether to explain action at a distance, but we don't need ether to explain it, so why assume an ethereal ether?

If your mom was using your Grandmas Safeway card then I don't see why it a big deal the receipt printer was probably just outdated or something

You don't comprehend very well... it was my moms card and my great grandmothers name that came up. My great grandma didn't even have a Safeway card..

Damn that is wicked. I was at my friends house when I encountered some far out shit. We were down stairs watching a movie when we heard a knocking noise upstairs. no one else was home. we paused the movie to check it out. Then his dog started barking and ran down stairs. So we went up stairs and saw the bathroom door handle moved down and the door opened, then the light shut off with no one there. So freaky. Apparently he had heard doors open and shut at night before but just thought it was his dog or wind he hasn't noticed anything weird since.

if i was going to reach out into the world of the living, i wouldn't do it through a safeway card, but thats just me. sounds weird
