Nothings shure yet i guess but heres some shit about some ski companys.

ok. Dynastar:

the pro models belan, dion, and larose where still there couldnt notice any change in the graphics.

The trouble makers getting new graphics and they have some text on the tail that says like 'not just some trouble'. And theres coming a fatter trouble maker with the name Big trouble, with a 92 mm waist. Theyre legend skis are still in the program couldnt see any difference beetween them from this years.

Rossignol:

are coming with a fatter BC 98 mm waist, and the FS will have a 85 or something like that and both of them are stiffer. And the graphics on them have a crime seen theme.

The Bandit series have a green graphic and will come with a fatter b2 thinner b3 (78 and 83 or something) and it will be a B4 if i can remember right with a 93 or 94 waist, something around 90 anyways. And there will also be a bandit squad with a waist width over 100.

Salomon: will have 3 twins next year, thruster, foil and gun. Foil with 85 waist, thruster 78 or something and gun the same dimensions as the pocket-rocket.

Atomic: coming with a new fat twin with a 98 mm waist with the name pimp. And a twintip ski that have the same dimensions as the tweak but when you buy one you get 3 pair of skis (sounds fucked but maybe i got it wrong) in 3 different colours.

HEAD: same as last year no new models. new graphics (some asian theme) didnt see the dimensions but i guess they are the same as last years.

no i watched them to fast the only thing i saw was that the graphics where different, had to see all the other shit cuz the store i work in doesnt rep them (shame), but hopefully we will do next year.

what I've heard about the K2 Seth Vicious, 3 mm wider (98mm), new progressive sidecut (similar to snowboards) and a zipper inlaid in the topsheet on the tail ?

my guess is not three PAIRS of ski, but three skis, like you get one free ski if ever one breaks or to rotate. maybe thats what you meant but you said 3 Pairs, its probably just 3 skis

I don't really know what progressive sidecut is but I think it is sort of a variable curve in the sidecut. Where the sidecut of most skis is a constant curve, progressive sidecut changes along the length of the ski. I could be totally wrong though.

I think the idea is to make a fat powder ski that kicks ass on the groomers and in the park. The progressive sidecut helps it do that.

The following was taken from a snowboarding site, but the principals are the same:

Sidecut: As noted above when discussing freestyle boards, sidecut greatly determines the type of turn that a board 'wants' to do. The deeper the sidecut, the more aggressively the board wants to turn. Some boards have symmetrical sidecuts while others have progressive sidecuts. This effects the feel of the board through a turn. Progressive sidecut boards tend to flare out at the tail and are designed to 'kick' the rider out of a turn, while symmetrical boards are smoother when riding 'fakie' or 'switch' (backwards).

the only skis they demod where the aztec and the santiago mission and the p3.

But the mission where the same as this year exept for the graphics same with the aztec, maybe some smaller flex changes, it felt like the santiago and the aztec where softer, but the rep told me they where stiffer so i dont really know.

I know the seth pistols have a mushroom print, put them next to eachother, then a giant mushroom emerges or something. the maiden's remained pretty much the same, the rest i dont know.

 
saw the new troublemakers today... the new graphics are a ghost type thing on the topsheet (like the mask from the scream movies) they are red and white... didn't really care for them. i took pics on my phone but the quality is pretty shitty.

yeah, progressive sidecut is where you have a sidecut with multipule radius's. lets say your ski has a 20 meter turn raidus. that means that the bend in the edge is equivelant to a a small chunk of a 40 meter circle. a progressive sidecut, would be formed by laying, lets saya 40, and 30 meter circles on top of each other. in the center, you would have the longer sidecut of the 40 m circle, but as it drifts toward the tips, it transfers to a tighter radius curve. like stated, this setup would cause the ski to quickly bite and dive into turns faster than a normal ski. and just to let you know, they are not snowboard specific, and they have been around for a long time. infact, all line skis have a multi radius sidecut, as do most skis.

progressive sidecuts are not new, but they have been advertised and used on snowboards for a long time, but they're not heard of as much on skis

didnt see or feel any differense beetween the pocket-rocket and the gun or 1080 and the thruster.

But maybe the skis wherent finished yet so they just remade the grafics for the fair.

It's not 3 pairs. It's 3 skis. They're supposed to be called Atomic Triplets. The point is that if one ski breaks or something you have another one. There could be a bindings problem though.

You are wrong about the progressive. Having a shallower sidecut along with a deeper central sidecut, allows a ski to retain it's girth as a fat ski, while still allowing it to carve shit up when neccesary on variable terrain. You can do progressive sidecuts a number of different ways. We incorporated it in a way that will compromise none of the ski's perfromance, going switch or regular. C'mon, guys, it is called product testing. You don't have Seth Morrison ski on something just to make it be crap in the end. He is stoked on this technology and really wanted it incorporated into his new pro model. Seth thought the old Pistol design wanted to hook into a turn a bit more than he desired when he was sraightlining the goods at 60 mph:) You will all see in two weeks, no more secrets for you!
