i have a short edit i've made...and the finished video file size is like 500 mb.

how do i compress it? or can you?

i used adobe premier pro...

i could render it again...

cant you change the settings on app to make it render it in a smaller version or something?

i dont know much about different formats and stuff, so bear with me. thanks

I use premiere pro as well, and I just export/render normally. Don't forget to deinterlace if you have to. You can change the export settings in premiere when you choose where to save/title your movie, and there'll be a box under save called settings. As for compression, I just use this:

Download the free program. You have to have Quicktime though...It exports to MP4, .AVI, and others, but I can't remember them. It's pretty easy to use, and you can choose the percent quality you want while compressing it a bunch. Just toss your edit in there and it'll do it all for you.

most versions of premiere will allow you to export to adobe media encoder, where you can easily compress the file.

if you have an older version of premiere you may need to download a compressor like sorenson squeeze, which is easy to get from a torrent site.

so for different ones to chose from, i have...

windows bitmap

filmstrip

animated GIF

compuserve GIF

quicktime

targa

TIFF

micorsoft DV AVI

microsoft AVI

windows waveform

which one should i use? or is easy to compress?
