That site sucks, terrible format. And he comes out arguing that snowboarding is actually easier than skiing at the end, when he says it was harder, and that he does it because its harder.

Snowboarding is harder when you're walking, stuck on flats, and boarding lifts.

Skiing is harder when you're on the slopes.

Conclusion: Snowboarding is harder. So convert to snowboarding so it'll take longer for you to get good and you won't have to pay the expensive prices of expert mountains.
 
Many skiers are still skiers precisely because they refuse to face the obvious reality that snowboarders are a permanent and growing presence on the slopes and not just a fad that will pass in a few years if they complain enough. Arguing with these people is pretty pointless, and they will magnify every infraction or inconvenience to ridiculous proportions. As the years have progressed and the permanence of shredding as an occupation has become less deniable, these people have become fewer in number.

HAHA.... "paying expensive prices of expert mountains" i don't consider park city expert, and lift tickets are what.... 82 dollars. And i DO consider places like Alta/Bird expert... and you can get lift tickets for like 40 - 60

OK. I don't know about you guys, but I fucking HATE it when snowboarders 'sideslip' (or whatever it is called) down the mountain! They take the snow with them! Fuckers! Not to mention that is the pussy way out... ugh, that annoys me to no end, and this idiot calls it, "the shredder's great alibi", what a loser.

Another reason to take up snowboarding if you are a skier is if you have a girlfriend / boyfriend / spouse / kid who is just learning to ski or board. If you start again from scratch, you can be on the same slopes as them and not be bored.
