Some .avi's and .mpg's (video formats) dont work for me

Perian should do the job. I've onlly installed this (and divX) and i have not have any trouble playing any kind of movie so far.

yea he's got it right. Perian and divx you need to make them run. and if you want to run .wmv's you need flip4mac.
