they don't give a shit period. they turn there back on a sport that they helped create...

MY skis are broken and they won't warenty them, i sent them to the factory, and they didn't do anything i had no good skis for half the season in whistler.

THey're idoits Droping Philiou was a big mistake.

they don't diserve him anyways.

solomon suck don't buy there shit, i am going to buy line next season.

The 1080 is still a kick-ass ski. Probably the most skied twintip. I really considered buying some Line's last season but I got an amazing deal on my 1080s...

 
the new 1080's are amazing, i dont know what you're talking about...the spaceframe technology is awesome, and they made the ski wider, longer and stiffer...what more do you want???

 
Salomon doens't care about their customers. Look at life-jacket, he broke his skis and they wont even replace them? that's pretty bogus. Salomon's skis might be pretty good, but the company sucks. They need to get some customer service, and actually care about their customers.

the new 1080's delam easily - what more could you want? a ski that doesn't break on you - and when it breaks a company to back the ski up and give you a new pair asap.

my 1080's tail broke on the 4th day, and they wouldn't give me new ones, so now I have a busted pair laying around, and I wasted 350 bucks. Fuckers

my 1080s are still in pretty decent shape. i've never had a problem with salomon so i don't know what you guys are talkin about. i bought my 1080's off demo and they broke after a week but salomon still replaced them for me. but i still got the demo bindings on them

rob - maybe we/they just ride their skis harder than you do - I broke my 1080's in a few months and i just got a different ski instead of getting the 1080's replaced, 'cause I mean, they 1080's were a good ski, but there are better ones out there.

yea did you notice vinnie was skiin gon the old 1080's in the x-games while all the others were on the new ones, I had the same warranty problem with dynastar, screw them. haha thats like the 10th time I've complained about them..grrrrrr-buy line!

 
Shit, I really liked that in between width of the new 1080, Ive always gone with salomon. I keep hearing more and more about how shitty some of this industry is. I think Ill demo some lines or scratches next year. I want a ski that can do bc well but I dont wanna have to go and change skis when I take laps through the park, and I dont want 2 friggin surfboards on my feet either.

if solamon doesn't fix there skis that breaks they are fucking idiots. i bought some used atomic demoskis at the beginging of the season. one of the plastic tips broke off mid season. i sent them back to the factory to get them fixed. i didn't have skis for 3 weeks, but it was worth it. either they weren't able to fix it or it wasn't worth the time and the money, so they sent me brand new 9.22 skis. thats what a company needs to do if there skis break. it isn't the customers fault if they are hard on their skis. they are supposed to stand up to the worst stuff. solamon doesn't care about their customers. they are just in it to make money. and really if you have good bussiness sence you would know that you need to take good care of your customers so that they will buy from you again. solamon is just fucked up and whom ever is in charge is hella fucked up. thats all i have to say.

Ya, I would never by salomon skis just cause they are like pure plastic. And they feel pretty shitty.

But until some other company steps up and makes half-decent bindings Salomon is getting my money.

Ski bindings blow in general. Its not like Salomon are good, there just the least-shitty. There needs to be some new ski binding companies

Tyrolia and Marker need to go bankrupt so there is market for some new binding companies.

 
i don't mind my Tyrolia bindings... Tyrolia makes really shitty low end bindings, but the D9's and D10's are actually really good... you just gotta put down like $399 if you want to pay for them.

agreed. I have been waiting 5 months now for my new tips. I still dont know when they will be ready.

Fucking annoying..and the season has started already and I dont have my fucking skis.

I used to ride on rossinol, but i'd break alot of them but at least they warrenty there skis, sometimes they would even send a better ski than the one i had cauze they where out of stock 4 that ski.

Solomon binding...If you want your acls don't use them...Trust me on that one.

And Tyroila warrenties there binding good, I havn't had a problem with tyroila. Props to them.

I have a pair of looks on some old skiis that i might sell. 3 years old, paint is chipped off but they are good bindings.

I was thinking about my older post though, and we have to keep in mind that salomon is the company that invested their time in making the first ski made for jibbing. Without the revolution of the 1080, I think our sport would be way less progressed and half of us wouldn't be here today

well..the masses havent really rode the 03' 1080 yet...some reviewer tries em..sais he doesnt like em..word spreads..befoere u know it...a thousand people who have never rode em say they suck..give em a chance...but i believe the part about crappy customer service

yeah, the prob with salomon is they dont worry too much about one or two people and that screws them over. I love my 1080s but i dont love my rep. 'nuff said.

As for their bindings, ive abused mine hard and they're still good but my friend's brakes blew off after he bailed once. I just think they're inconsistant or something i dont know.

Whenever i get pissed at salomon i always remember that they made the first twin tip. I figure i owe 'em something.

 
Ya the brakes on their bindings suck. I didn't have breaks for like half the winter and my ski smoked my leg one time when I was trying to catch it, it fucking hurt.

But other than that I like Salomon bindings.

 
Wtf.. dude... the 1080 was nowhere near the first tip tip. Onli mark 4 where probley 1st twin tip skis, there where probley countless other shitty ballet skis out there too, its' just 1080 was the first ski that had hype from the ncaf... Do your homework... I still got my mark 4s and they still work, they'd still probley give better customer service than solomon.

You guys should check out K2 if you want EXCELLENT costomer service. Plus the Enemies are a great all around ski for pretty much everywhere you want to go.

I broke 2 pairs of Enemies last year in about 90 days of skiing. I broke last years models first, and then got brand new 2002 models, then broke those too, and got new ones ASAP. I didn't even need to wait a day for new ones, K2 just told the shop to give me new ones, they didnt even have to look at my skis to replace them. I didnt even need a reciept,they said I coulda taken them to any store to replace them... THATS great customer service guys... I dont knw what more you could ask for?
