Solomon Rocker 92 Bindings

Yooo NS,

I'm pretty interested in the 2013 solomon rocker 2's but I have a few questions. I'm going to be riding everything from park (my home mt. is mt. creek) to a lot of trees (I spend lotsa time at Gore Mt.) so I'd say its gonna be 60% all mountain and 40% park.

So I was wondering what would be some recommended bindings for this ski/type of skiing. I saw a friend with some markers where you could easily change the binding position on the ski which seems handy for switching from center in the park to back mount in the trees but I dont know enough about the bindings to say.

Also where would you think the best versatile place to mount them would be.. I was thinking maybe somewhere around 2cm back? But again I'm not too knowledgable on binding placement.

Any help would be great... thank!

I would suggest looking at Salomon Sth2 13 bindings or Sth 12 or 14 Driver. I would also suggest mounting at the recommended mount on the skis.

In this video at about 0:45 Mike Douglas talks about where to mount the ski. (These are the same skis you have, just a previous year's model).

There is a sticky thread on bindings a suggest you take a look at. In terms of the marker schizos (the ones you can move around) I've heard they have durability issues, also it's like "hang on bro, let me move my bindings back .5cm for this steep spot." I would recommend getting whatever you can find with the right size breaks for cheep. Check out level 9 sports or the evo outlet for good bindings. They had some rosignol axial2's for 98 bucks last time I checked.

It's hard to say what bindings are appropriate for you, as we don't have any of your details, height/weight/skiing ability etc. Providing you are either mid way through your adolescent years or an adult, I would suggest that an entry level adult binding (binding ~12DIN) would be more than sufficient for you. Personally my favorite 12DIN binding is the Rossignol Axial2 120/Look PX12, take a look at my review of them here (make sure to scroll down to see my extended comment on them) -https://www.newschoolers.com/reviews/2891/Axial-2-120

Sorry about the lack of a clickable link, the pop up isn't working for me today.

Thanks, and I forgot to mention the details.

For reference, I am 5'10ish but growing, arouund 135 lbs., and would consider myself an intermediate-advanced skiier (I commonly drop 10< foot cliffs, ski lots of glades/shoots, and like to go fast).

Any further help would be great!
