Solo session with a banshee bungee?

does anyone do this?

also, is it possible to use a 20ft one by yourself? can you just use a portion of it or something to make it into a 10ft one?

pretty much what i should have said. you won't get nearly as much speed as you would if you had a few people pulling it back.

^haha, obviously I'm hoping to be with my friends if I'm hitting a feature... I was just wondering if it's physically possible to use the 20 footer alone -- I'm trying to decide between the 20 and 10 footer & don't really see any advantages to the 10 foot one if you can use the 20 foot one alone and get the same results.

- how fast do you think someone pulling back alone could go?

damn near impossible to do more than a few hits, you will tire yourself out so fast and or not get enough pull to get the speed you need. friends are always helpful

Maybe just fast enough to hit a down rail or something. Unless you are super strong but to be honest you will not get that much speed by yourself.

thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm assuming your answers apply to both lengths of bungee? or can you get mobbing with the 10 foot one?

Idk, I had a pretty genius Idea.

1. Buy a cheap winch from canadian tire

2. Secure in tight location

3. Attach one end of winch to the bungee handle

4. Turn on, let it pull the bungee back

5. Grab handle, no effort required

6. ????

7. Profit

he said a winch from canadian tire, you know? like a winch? not like the little gas motors for pulling wakeskaters but like a winch, for pulling heavy things.

I am touched by everyone's concern for me. To clarify: I have friends, I live with them and I ski with them, so that is not the issue. I am looking at bungees for the winter and saw no reason to go with the 10' one except that on their site it says you can use it by yourself, which, at some point, might be necessary. I was just curious to know if it's possible to pull back the 20' one and get any usable speed.

also skiing alone is spiritual and that intensifies if you're building features & hitting them all by yourself.

The 10ft bungee is honestly awful, Everyone i know with it hates it. get the 20. but seriously Drop inns are way better for handrails.

i have a 20 ft bungee and it is rellay hard to pull back by yourself with skis on, you will always need some friends to pull it. definently go with the twenty it is way more universall than the 10ft bungee.

possible-yes, practicle-NO, and definatly get the 20ft, the 10ft lacks speed and acceleration. Also i find that its easier to stretch the 20ft then the 10ft, but maybe thats just me?

Well, I guess you don't need us here... Everyone here's making all the points we would make:

-the 20ft is more popular because it is more versatile

-jibbing by yourself doesn't seem like much fun (and having a friend there in case you get hurt is a good idea)

-the 20 is hard to pull back by yourself and get enough stretch for good speed

-...and that winch idea is pretty good (but be careful you don't get carried away and pull it back so far it might snap)

The one thing we would add, that can help cut down on the people you need for a Bungee sesh, is check out the new Quick Release accessory we have (http://www.bansheebungee.com/index.php/buy-bungees/accessories/quick-release). It will hold your stretched Bungee in place until you are ready, which means you could pull it back yourself (or help your friends) and then you can throw your skis on and when you are ready, pull the tab and launch!

i had a genius idea as well!1) acquire long range ballistic missiles

2) attach said missiles to your skis

3) ignite missile

4) don't die

5) ....

6) profit !

yes, this will work. Make sure your missiles are big enough, dont get pussy rocket engines for a model rocket

hey, thanks... I just ordered a 20' one, copping a tire winch next.

look out for edits of me stomping shit with tears of loneliness streaming down my face.

idk why everyone is dissing using it alone. it depends on the rail but if its just a downrail sidestep and it isnt that hard to build enough speed by yourself. me and my friends sometimes session with it but dont even pull it back for eachother. you get plenty of speed.
