the labs are all metal and the heel has 5 scres most nidings have 4 so its extra secure, and i dont know if the reg, s914 is all metal, i know its only 4 in the heel for screws, ive never ahd the reg, so i cant tell ya everything. the labs are the workdcup racing binding, so they are extra strong.
 
Errr...

the 914 LAB is the lightweight (heavy jr) race binding. The heel is metal, but the toe wings are still plastic. Definitely a better binding than the 914, but not quite as bomber as the 916. Perfect if you're in between dins but hard on your bindings.
